The Best Desire
Proverbs 24:14 – So let your desire be for wisdom: if you have it, there will be a future, and your hope will not be cut off.

We are humans and there is freedom of desiring given to us by God. That is, we are free to desire whatever we want. Despite God wants good for us, if we desire our down fall, then we have ourselves to blame.


In the above scripture, God has given us a key to having a future. This key is to desire wisdom. A wise human will not fall into destruction because he or she will not do what will destruct him or her. Note that before destruction, there is an action or there are actions and this action or these actions will be avoided by a wise human. Note that the wisdom here is not the human/carnal/earthly wisdom but the divine wisdom.

Wisdom makes hopes not to be cut off because it translates hopes to manifestation. You see why king Solomon demanded for wisdom? Beloved, please let’s start demanding for divine wisdom so that we will have a future and our hopes will be manifested.

  1. Jehovah release divine wisdom upon my life 
  2. Jehovah let the spirit of wisdom that rested upon Jesus rest on me. 
  3. Jehovah, help me never to be foolish in your sight.
