Finish Well!

Genesis 18:16 – And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.

To start a thing is good but it is better and imperative to finish well. Many often make the mistake of aiming to start well without aiming to finish well.

From our scripture, we will emphasize on the second part. “…Abraham went with them to bring them on the way”. Abraham paid his utmost respect to his visitors and they parted in good and joy.

Abraham started well by rushing to meet them. Welcoming and entertaining them was also right but he never left them alone after the promise. He took his time and escorted them and they still communicated. Abraham finished well; we should aim and strive to finish well too.

Beloved, don’t rush out of God’s presence even when God’s promise has been given you, stay more with God. In escorting, Abraham got access to divine secret. Hence, stay more in God’s presence and you will not only get His promise to you but also you will get access to divine secrets. Shalom!
