Abstain From Evil
1 Thessalonians 5:22

[22] Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Evil is not of God and it doesn't glorify God. God is good and does good. We are His children and we are to do good and as well be good.

Here we are advised to abstain from all appearance of evil. To abstain is to refrain, it is not to do. Evil is anything that gives God no glory. People either are not comfortable with the happenings of evil.

Why should a Christian not do evil? It's not that doing evil isn't enjoyable but it's not godly to do evil. That's why the scripture says, do good to all, Galatians 6:10, Titus 2:7 'In all things showing thyself a pattern of good works: ...'

Beloved let us make it our aim to eschew evil at all cost. Even when promise a high reward, we should not succumb to it. Like the scripture rightly advised in 1 Corinthians 10:14, flee from not only formication but from all forms of evil.

May God help us to always flee from evil and never to feed our fleshy desires. Shalom!

It Doesn't Matter

Shalom! Child of God, it doesn't matter where sugarcane is planted, it will definitely be sweet. Light always Chase away darkness both in the physical and in the spiritual. I decree and declare today and always that, you will never taste bitterness, sorrow, sadness, failure and shame this month. Your life will be filled with joy and happiness.
