John 15:17 MSG

17 But remember the root command: Love one another.

What makes someone to act the way he or her do is based on love. The commandments are wholly centred on one word; LOVE. If I steal from neighbour is due to my unloving heart same with coveting, murder and others.

Beloved, Christ's rightly said it in Mark 12:29-31 that the commandment is just of two parts; Loving God (human responsible to God) and Loving fellow human in a godly way (human responsible to fellow human). Hence, this is what we are to do steadily. Loving without discrimination and selection is the command; to love all.

Why is love the root command? God knows that it takes the display of Godly love to change any stubborn heart. The adulterous woman and many others were shown love and they had a tremendous change of heart from being evil doers to followers of Christ, Luke 19:5-10.

Godly love makes us stand for God's will doing good not evil. I pray we should all have a godly loving heart.
