Matthew 5:4 – Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Mourning in the spirit is related to being poor in the spirit. The mourners in the spirit are those who felt their poverty in the spirit and lament their iniquity that separated them from God. David mourned in the spirit after he went into Uriah’s wife.

Sin separates God’s children from the fountain of blessedness, but when he or her mourns, God restores the mourner in the spirit to the fountain of blessedness. The restoration to spiritually to the fountain of blessedness is the comfort given by the Lord to the mourners in the spirit.

Jesus loudly called all that are weary, heavy laden and separated from God to come back to God through Him that they will be comforted and have rest. Beloved, what are you still waiting for, come unto Jesus, be poor in the spirit and mourn in the spirit so that you will be given rest, comfort and restoration back to the fountain of blessedness.
