WHICH ARE YOU?

WHICH ARE YOU? I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13 A young woman went to her mother and told her how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved a new one arose. Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water. In the first, she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs and the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil without saying a word. In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter, she asked, “Tell me what you see?” “Carrots, eggs, and coffee,” she replied. She brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. She then asked her to ...

Sustenance through any Situation

Sustenance through any Situation And he said, “Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” Job 1:21 There was an elderly lady who, for 90 years, claimed 2 Timothy 1:12 as her life verse. She quoted it every morning in the old King James, “… for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed to him against that day .” In her later years, however, the woman began to lose her memory and could only quote parts of the verse. Finally on her deathbed, she was heard to say over and over again the only part she could remember. In a barely audible voice she said, “Him… Him… Him.” And that single word was enough to sustain and strengthen her all the way to heaven. When it comes down to it, isn’t that what it’s really all about? Scripture… salvation… holy living… it’s really all about Him! And while our bodies will fail and our minds will lose...

Mercy or Justice?

Mercy or Justice? Romans 8:1 - There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Knowing our daily actions and inactions are not perfect using God's standard then when being judged with God's standard what will you need? A young man who is a military officer was court marshal and he was afraid and shaking. A military General who is a team of the court said, be not afraid for you will get justice here. Justice? No! I need mercy the military officer replied because I didn't do well. When we stand before God on the Day of Judgment, our lives will be laid bare. But for those of us who are in Christ, we’ll humbly stand before God and say, “We need mercy.” And while God will deal out justice to many, for us, we’ll bask in the wonderful gift of His mercy. Thank God for His mercy today. Be grateful that if you’re in Christ, you’ll escape God’s judgment and inherit eternal life! GOD’S MERCY ONLY COMES THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. BE THANKFUL THAT IF YOU’R...

Get To Know Jesus More And More

Get To Know Jesus More And More 2 Peter 1:2 The Bible gives us a secret to walking in favor and well-being in 2 Peter 1:2—“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.” In the original Greek, it actually says, “...through the knowledge of our God and Savior Jesus Christ.” So God’s unmerited favor and His shalom-peace (health, provision and total well-being) are multiplied in your life through the knowledge of JESUS. The more you know Jesus, the more you will be able to tap into the ever-flowing supply of His favor, healing and provision! Beloved, every answer you need, whether it has to do with your finances, health, career or family life, is found in knowing more about Jesus in a personal and intimate way. I pray that every day, as you study the Scriptures or listen to Christ-centered sermons, the Holy Spirit will open your eyes to see more of Jesus—His beauty, His love and grace toward you, and His finished work at Calvary! This plan was c...

Step Out By Faith Into Your Field Of Provision

Step Out By Faith Into Your Field Of Provision - Deuteronomy 28:8 In the Old Testament story of Ruth, we see a beautiful picture of what it’s like to walk in God’s favor. Ruth, a Moabite widow, travels to Bethlehem with Naomi, her Jewish mother-in-law. Putting her faith in God’s favor, she sets out to find work gleaning in the wheat and barley fields. Because of her trust in the Lord’s favor, she ends up in the field of Boaz, a wealthy man of position in Bethlehem, and (unknown to her initially) a kinsman to Naomi. As Ruth works in Boaz’s field, she sees plenty of grain and just picks it all up. It is the much-needed provision for herself and her mother-in-law. What Ruth doesn’t know is that Boaz has actually commanded his men to “let grain from the bundles fall purposely for her” (Ruth 2:16), because she had found favor in his eyes. Isn’t it cool when Jesus, our heavenly Boaz, purposely commands the blessings on us, and tells His angels to drop them along our way? All we have to ...

It’s Time To Change Your Believing

It’s Time To Change Your Believing Romans 8:16-17 I’m too young. I’m too old. I don’t have the relevant experience. They’re hiring only college graduates. If you’re looking for a job and your mind is gripped by such thoughts, then you’re already defeated by your thoughts before you even step out to look for a job. It’s time to change your believing! A lady in her mid-fifties in my congregation, after hearing me share on this, changed her believing. She decided to put her trust in the Lord’s unmerited favor, got her rΓ©sumΓ© ready and sent it out by faith. That very week, she was called for interviews by two different companies, which led to two job offers! She picked one and has been gainfully employed. Beloved, as God’s child, you are His heir and a joint heir with Christ. This means that you have the same unclouded favor that Jesus has. So step out in faith and expect His favor to open doors for you and give you the job or breakthrough you desire, regardless of your natural limi...

Being Unmovable

Topic: Being Unmovable [Friday 20, May 2016] Memorise: Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. – Ephesians 6:11 Read: 1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV) 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. Bible in One Year: 1 Chronicles 7-9, Proverbs 27:1-14 MESSAGE: As Christians, it is necessary that we are settled in our convictions, steadfast in faith and established in the Word of God. We should also be unmovable wherever external forces are concerned. We should be like a ship in a storm, solidly anchored. The winds may toss it to and fro, but it will only move around without being seriously troubled. A ship that is properly anchored will not be affected by the waves and the wind on the surface. 1 Corinthians 15:58says; “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the wor...

The Race Is Not To The Swift

The Race Is Not To The Swift Psalms 44:3 The world tells you that those with the qualifications, talents and experience get the jobs, promotions and high salaries. My friend, though you live in this world, as God’s beloved child, you need not be limited by it. You have God’s grace—His unmerited, unearned, undeserved favor! So even if you are not the smartest, strongest or best looking in the natural, God can still give you good success when you depend on His grace. Instead of mulling over your “disqualifications,” be conscious of God’s favor on you. Smile and say, “God’s favor is all over me because of Jesus. I expect good things to happen to me today!” Beloved, be conscious of His favor today. Believe it. Speak it. And you will experience it! _______ Taken from Joseph Prince Devotional.

You Are Highly Favored Because Of Jesus!

You Are Highly Favored Because Of Jesus! Ephesians 1:6 The Bible tells us that God has made us “accepted in the Beloved” (Ephesians 1:6). The “Beloved” here refers to Jesus and the word “accepted” in the original Greek text means “given special honor” or “highly favored.” My friend, because you have Jesus who is God’s Beloved, and you are found in Him, you are also God’s beloved son or daughter, deeply loved and highly favored by Him! Now, because you are highly favored by God in the Beloved, you can expect to have favor with your spouse, children, colleagues, clients and yes, even your in-laws! When you speak, people listen. When you step into a room, it lights up. Everything you touch is blessed and increased. Beloved, as the apple of God’s eye, expect good things to happen to you each day. Expect divine protection because His favor surrounds you like a shield. Expect every need to be met by the One who highly favors you. Expect good, because you are precious in His eyes! ____...

How to Experience His Presence in Your Everyday Life

How to Experience His Presence in Your Everyday Life - John 14:23 Life is busy and filled with distractions. It's so easy to get caught up in our cares, errands and worries that we lose sight of what matters most. There's an interesting little story at the end of Luke chapter two about when Mary and Joseph took Jesus to Jerusalem for Passover when He was twelve years old. After the festival was over, they left to go home, supposing He was with them. I wonder how many times we suppose God's with us when we've wandered off to do our own thing? Now here's the interesting part. Mary and Joseph had traveled a day's journey before they realized Jesus wasn't with them and then it took three days to find Him. Three days! The message here is that it's easier to lose that special presence of God than it is to get it back once we've lost it. We need to be careful to remain in the presence of God. When we do, we make God feel at home in our hearts. This s...

The Servant Leader

Topic: The Servant Leader [Thursday 19, May 2016] Memorise: If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. – John 13:14 Read: John 13:13-17 (KJV) 13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. 16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. 17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. Bible in One Year: 1 Chronicles 4:24-6:81, Proverbs 26:15-28 MESSAGE: One great difference between servant leaders and self-serving leaders is that servant leaders always look at leadership as an act of service, while self-serving leaders view leadership as a high status and spend most of their time trying to protect their status. Servant leaders...

IT IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP THAT MATTERS

THE STAGE DOESN’T MATTER, YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE DRIVER DOES There's an old story of the boy who stood on a sidewalk, waiting 4 a bus. A man walking by spotted the boy & gave him some gentle instruction. "Son," he said, "if you're waiting 4 the bus u need 2 move 2 the street corner. That's where the bus stops 4 passengers." "It's OK," said the boy. "I'll just wait right here & the bus will stop 4 me." The man repeated his argument, but the boy never moved. Just then, the bus appeared. Amazingly, the bus pulled over 2 where the boy stood & the child hopped on. The man on the sidewalk stood speechless. The boy turned around in the doorway & said, "Mister, I knew the bus would stop here, bcos the bus driver is my dad!" When you've got a family relationship with the bus driver, u don't need a bus stop. If you've given your heart 2 the King of Kings, you're in a royal family of ...

Divine Remembrance

Divine Remembrance 2 Samuel 9:1-13 3  The king asked, “Is there no one still alive from the house of Saul to whom I can show God’s kindness?” Ziba answered the king, “There is still a son of Jonathan;  he is lame  in both feet.” 7  “Don’t be afraid,” David said to him, “for I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan.  I will restore to you all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul, and you will always eat at my table. ” 8  Mephibosheth  bowed down and said, “What is your servant, that you should notice a dead dog  like me?” 13  And Mephibosheth lived in Jerusalem, because he always ate at the king’s table; he was lame in both feet. This was a divine remembrance. God will cause a divine remembrance in your life today-Amen. When all have forgotten Saul's house God remembered the house for Jonathan's sake. Same thing happened to Mordicai. Note that it is not that God has forgotten you in your ...

The Longing for God Alone

The Longing for God Alone by Sheila Walsh, from The Longing in Me. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord. - Jeremiah 29:13-14 O God, You are my God; I earnestly search for You. My soul thirsts for You; my whole body longs for You in this parched and weary land where there is no water. I have seen You in your sanctuary and gazed upon your power and glory. Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise You! — Psalm 63:1–3. Whatever your path has looked like up until this point (unless there is a white chalk mark around your body), it’s not too late to change, to rise up and be the woman (person) God has called and created you to be. You are not defined by the past. You are qualified by the great I Am. His love for us isn’t based on our perfect performance, but on the perfect love He has for us. God is for you 100 percent. He loves you and welcomes you just as you are. He will never turn away ...

God Remembers Your Sins No More

God Remembers Your Sins No More Hebrews 10:17 17… “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” I don’t know about you, but I would say that Hebrews 10:17 is good news. God sees all our sins — past, present and future — and says, “Your sins I remember no more!” The words “no more” are a strong double negative in the original Greek text. In other words, God is saying, “Your sins I will by no means ever remember!” Has God lowered His standards? No, He is still perfectly holy. He did remember all our sins — 2,000 years ago at the cross. Every sin that we have committed or will commit has been punished to the full in the body of Jesus Christ at the cross. That is why today, God remembers our sins no more. We should, therefore, not be sin-conscious. Each time we feel condemned for our past mistakes, God wants us to remember the cross and say, “Lord Jesus, you were sentenced for this sin I committed. You bore the judgment, so God will not judge me for this sin. Yo...

Faithlessness Pays!

JOKE OF THE EVENING Two christians were lost in the Sahara desert on their way to Libya. One was David and the other was Christian. They were terribly dying of hunger and thirst when they suddenly came upon an oasis with what looked like an emirate with a mosque in the middle. David said to Christian “Let’s pretend as if we are muslims otherwise we wil not get food or drink. I am going to call myself Muhammad Gambo”!  Christian refused to change his name “My name is Christian and I will NOT pretend to be what I am not. When they got there, the Imam of the Mosque received both of them well and asked for their names. David said “My name is Muhammad Gambo” πŸ‘³but Christian said “My name is Christian” πŸ‘ΌThe Imam turned to the helpers of the Mosque and said “Please bring some food and water for Christian only. 🍟🌭 Then he turned to the other and said “Well Muhammad, I hope you are aware that we are still in the month of Ramadan?😳😳😳😳 The guy fainted.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ It pays to be fait...

Accept His Place For Your Firm Standing

Accept His Place For Your Firm Standing God gives us a firm place to stand, but we have to decide we want to take it. John 3:16 tells us that “God so loved the world that He gave His only Son,” but He doesn’t force anyone to take Him either. God is ever the Giver (see James 1:17) but, by His sovereign design, each individual gets to exercise the prerogative whether or not to be a taker. We take the firm place He gives when we make up our minds and plant both our feet. That’s exactly what the Hebrew word translated “firm” in Psalm 40:2 means. In another psalm it is used to characterize man’s response to God. Psalm 78 speaks of a generation who: would put their trust in God and would not forget His deeds but would keep His commands. They would not be like their forefathers — a stubborn and rebellious generation, whose hearts were not loyal to God, whose spirits were not faithful to Him. — Psalm 78:7-8 You see that word “loyal”? It comes from the very same Hebrew word as “firm.” Go...

Speak Excellent Things

Speak Excellent Things by Joyce Meyer - posted May 20, 2016 Hear, for I will speak excellent and princely things; and the opening of my lips shall be for right things. —Proverbs 8:6 In this Scripture, Solomon made a decision about how he would talk, and we should do the same thing. Just as we can direct our thoughts, we can also direct our words with God’s help. We should choose to speak excellent things. Our words affect us and the people around us. They also affect what God is able to do for us. You cannot have a negative mouth and a positive life. In 1 Peter 3:10, the apostle Peter teaches us that if we want to enjoy life and see good days—even in the midst of trials—we must keep our tongues free from evil. What kind of life do you want? Do you want an excellent life? If so, then you must be excellent in your choice of words. Change your words, and you will change your life! Power Thought: I choose to speak of worthy, important, noble, and excellent ...

You Matter To God!

You Matter To God! John 10:3 3... he calls his own sheep by name... Do you sometimes feel like you are just a face in a crowd or a number in a system? You are identified by your social security number. Even when you see the doctor, you are called by your queue number. If you feel depersonalized and dehumanized, that is exactly how the devil wants you to feel — that you do not matter much to anyone, especially to God. But you do matter to God! He calls you by name. He knows exactly what you are going through and where you are hurting. He sees you and cares for you, just as He cared for the people when He first walked on earth. My friend, He will do for you what He did for the woman in Samaria. The Bible says that “He needed to go through Samaria” to get from Judea to Galilee. (John 4:4) Now, any Jew of His day would have taken a different and longer route to avoid going through Samaria because they hated the Samaritans, though the way through Samaria would take much less ti...

Believe

Believe Mark 9:23-25, Matthew 9:28 23  “‘If you can’?”  said Jesus.  “Everything is possible for one who believes.” 24  Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” 25  When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene,  he rebuked the impure spirit.  “You deaf and mute spirit,”  he said,  “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” God is so much available to satisfying our needs but the link to receiving these needs of ours from God is our BELIEVE. Do we believe and fully know that God has given us what we so desire in accordance to His will? He told us, all good things are from Him and the Earth is His. Also that we are His heirs, hence that we have asked in His name and in His will will be done, we should just believe in Him. Believing is a force that turns impossibility to possibility. Abraham believed and many others did as well. Luke 1:37. It is believing that ma...

Light of the World

Topic: Light of the World [Friday 13, May 2016] Memorise: Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.  – Matthew 5:14 Read: Matthew 5:14-16 (KJV) 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Bible in One Year: 2 Kings 15:17-17:23, Proverbs 23:29-24:7 MESSAGE: Jesus introduced Himself to humanity in John 8:12 as the light of the world. Just as the sun is the physical light of the world, so also is Jesus the spiritual light of the world. As the light of the world, Jesus exposes sin and gives sight. Our memory verse for today shows that Jesus is the primary light, and we are the secondary light. As the light of the sun is to the moon, so Jesus is the sourc...

You Are Special!

You Are Special! Few months ago, i walked into an exotic restaurant to have lunch. Immediately i settled down, i hurriedly placed my order (I was damn hungry - *LOL*), I just couldn't wait to eat a sumptuous meal. But things didn't go the way I'd expected it, something else happened. After almost about 20mins of waiting for my order, 3 guys walked in to have lunch and of course placed their orders. Amazingly, almost immediately, they were served while I was still waiting for my order. This got me a little angry and then i beckoned on the lady who took my order to inquire why I haven't been served and why the other guys who just walked in already got their foods. Then the lady said to me politely, "Sir You Made A Very Special Order And It'll Take Time To beautifully Prepare It For You; the other guys just ordered for snacks!" Hmmm.... that got me thinking. And that's the word for you today. I learnt a very profound lesson that day. Sometimes ...

Know your Calling

Topic: Know your Calling [Thursday 12, May 2016] Memorise: Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.  – 1 Corinthians 12:4 Read: 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 (KJV) 4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. Bible in One Year: 2 Kings 13:1-15:16, Proverbs 23:14-28 MESSAGE: Being called is an important issue which usually beings up endless discussions amongst Children of God. Meanwhile, we are advised to give due diligence to make our calling and election sure. The knowledge of our calling is not as important as what we are doing about it. How are you justifying Heaven’s confidence in you? Each time you stray from God’s path, purpose and will, you make the Heavenly host regret their choice. That you were chosen...

Not Over Until It's Over

Not Over Until It's Over I watched a local football match in a school playing ground. As I sat down, I asked one of the boys what the score was. With a proud smile, he replied; "They are leading us 3-0" !!! REALLY !! I have to say you don't look discouraged. "Discouraged?" the boy asked with a puzzled look. Why should I be discouraged when the referee has not blown the final whistle ? Truly, I didn't have an answer to this question! As I got back home that night, his question became a course in my stay in life indeed. Life is like a game . Why should you be discouraged when your referee,... The Almighty has not blown the final whistle on your life? The truth is that as long as there is life, nothing is impossible & it is never too late for you. Half time is not full time & HIS calendar is not man's. Don't blow the whistle on yourself. Have a good day. ________________ Contributed by a member of Redeemed Christi...

Total Victory 2

Total Victory 2 Psalms 44:3 For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them. Victories can't be gotten by human strategies. Only God that gives victories. To get victory in any area of our life, we have to depend totally on God not human neither one's attributes. Zechariah 4:6 - ... Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord of host. God want us not to depend on anything other than Him for our victories. Psalms 20:7, Psalms 98:1, Proverbs 21:31. Beloved, we should henceforth not put our trust on anything except God. Prayer May God give us the attitude of trusting Him for our victories. Confession The Lord that gives victories, as I trust in you I know my victory is on the way. Shalom!!!

Total Victory

Total Victory Genesis 14:16 And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people. This is a mega victory. Abraham (formerly Abram) got this landslide victory not by his strength neither it was by the arms of his servants and himself. God gave Abraham this victory. He was not far from God. Also note that Abraham didn't fight for his personal interest. He demonstrated selflessness. Here are these lessons of vital importance we are to learn and abide to: 1 - Abraham was a friend of God and God gave the victory. When we're with God, He never allow us to be defeated. The battle fought with the support of God always end in VICTORY. Remember David, Jehoshaphat and the Israelites and their numerous battles on their way to Cannan. DON'T BE FAR FROM GOD!!! 2 - Abraham fought for Love. He didn't fight because he wanted to but for the interest of his brother. This is love in demonstration. When Love ...

Little Turning Mighty

Little Turning Mighty Mark 6:38 He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes. God is awesome. He does things beyond human comprehension. Five loaves and Two fishes feeding a crowd, about 5000 men with remainder. Isn't this awesome. This happened due to the following; 1) They did not neglect the little - Zechariah 4:10 2) The little was blessed as a result of total dependence on God - Mark 6:41 The little we consider and term insignificant matters when it's blessed by God. It's not the mighty that satisfies or is enough but it's the blessed be it little or mighty. Brethren, let's seek for God's blessing on whatever we have so that it will sustain us. Prayer Lord I thank you for your resources in my possession. I commit all you have given me into your hands for multiplication. Amen! Confession Jehovah my sustainer, you alone keep me on and going. It's not my wealth, wisdom or might....

Stay on God's Word

Stay on God's Word Psalms 119:49,50,52 119:48 Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope. 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me. 119:52 I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself. God doesn't let His Words go unfulfilled. When God speak the devil must try to God has spoken lies. God can't lie and His words are living, powerful and active. Hebrews 4:12. Never concentrate on the devil's view of your circumstances but Stay on God's Words. He's said it, He'll do it. Your time can't be and won't be God's time. Encourage yourself in God's words like the psalmist did. The remembrance of God spoken and written words activates a dying or death Faith. Brethren, it's expedient and momentous that we stay on God's words. The God that said it has not changed hence He will bring it to fulfillment. Malachi 3:6. Yes, the battle may be strong but n...

Soil, Seed and Sower

Soil, Seed and Sower Scripture “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places…Other seed fell among thorns…Still other seed fell on good soil.” —Matthew 13:3–8, NIV Observation Although this is often known as the parable of the sower and the seed, it can also be said this is a parable about the soil. All four types of soil are essentially the same dirt but are in different conditions and respond in different ways to cultivation. What made one soil more responsive and the other less? When the New Testament was written, communities were agriculturally based. A family would be appointed a section of land to farm. Every farmer's plot was adjacent to their neighbor's. In order to get to the fields, the farmers would walk along the boundaries bordering each field to avoid stepping on the growing plants. The “path” was held in common by all the farmers. Over time, the...

Manna of Salvation

Manna of Salvation John 6:50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. There's only one manna that saves eternally. Jesus!!! Our fathers ate the manna but without Jesus hence they were destroy. Today, we should learn from them and not to repeat their errors. 1 Corinthians 10:1-5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. The manna of today are things based on Jesus. Having Jesus is the core idea not just to eat manna. In the same way eating the Lord's Supper inordinately results to damnation, so is doing anything that's based on Christ but the doer has no Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:28-29 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. Danger in Drawing Back Hebrews 10:38 And, "But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back." Hebrews 9:27, Matthew 12:43-45, Hebrews 6:4-6, 2 Peter 2:20-22 What you have renounced and confessed, you shouldn't go back to it again. Going back to what and where you have said no to, endangers the repented soul. Lot's wife turned back to what she forsook only to met with doom; turned to a pillar of salt. Jesus warned that "... No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God." Luke 9:62. You see, better is it to take the cost and risk of decisions before engagement. Rely on God's Spirit to empower you to keep your confessions and renouncements. Shalom!!! ______________ A sermon by Pastor Ayo Kingsley Oba of Christ's Chosen Church of God Intl, Enugu Branch 1.
