Total Victory

Total Victory
Genesis 14:16 And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.

This is a mega victory. Abraham (formerly Abram) got this landslide victory not by his strength neither it was by the arms of his servants and himself. God gave Abraham this victory. He was not far from God.
Also note that Abraham didn't fight for his personal interest. He demonstrated selflessness. Here are these lessons of vital importance we are to learn and abide to:
1 - Abraham was a friend of God and God gave the victory.
When we're with God, He never allow us to be defeated. The battle fought with the support of God always end in VICTORY. Remember David, Jehoshaphat and the Israelites and their numerous battles on their way to Cannan.
DON'T BE FAR FROM GOD!!!
2 - Abraham fought for Love. He didn't fight because he wanted to but for the interest of his brother. This is love in demonstration. When Love is involved, Unity of purpose isn't lacking hence there's VICTORY. Remember, How pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity. Also can two walk together unless they agreed?
May God give us victory in the battles of life we face at different stages of our life -Amen.

Prayers
Lord I depend on you, fight my battles and give me victory so that I will have rest on my every side.

Confession
My strength, strategies and experience can't give me victory Lord. It's only you for promotion (Victory) is from the Lord.
Shalom!

Don’t Look Back!

Don’t Look Back! Luke 9:62 – And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Have you answered the call to serve God as His son and daughter? Have you totally chosen Jehovah as your God? Have you decided to leave your old ways and cleave unto God? If yes! Beloved I congratulate you. But hope you took the cost of your choice?? [Please refer to yesterday’s sermon] God doesn’t want us to look back when we have answered the call, why? This is because of the following: Firstly, it brings shame to the body of Christ and makes people to despise Christ. Looking back is to be lukewarm and to depart from the first love! [Revelation 2:4, Revelation 3:16] Secondly, looking back makes the believer to suffer backwardness spiritually and physical. The faith of the believer suffers and takes a longer time to be rebuilt. [Hebrews 6:4]. Thirdly, looking back will make the person not to complete whatever he or she has started. This is w...

Heart Not Garment - 2

"Rend your heart, and not your garments." --Joel 2:13 Apart from vital godliness all religion is utterly vain; offered without a sincere heart, every form of worship is a solemn sham and an impudent mockery of the majesty of heaven. HEART-RENDING is divinely wrought and solemnly felt. It is a secret grief which is personally experienced, not in mere form, but as a deep, soul-moving work of the Holy Spirit upon the inmost heart of each believer. It is not a matter to be merely talked of and believed in, but keenly and sensitively felt in every living child of the living God. It is powerfully humiliating, and completely sin-purging; but then it is sweetly preparative for those gracious consolations which proud un-humbled spirits are unable to receive; and it is distinctly discriminating, for it belongs to the elect of God, and to them alone.

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul. Every covenant that do not bring light to your life, be destroyed now by fire! Whatever makes you to live by work and not by grace be destroyed! For God's name sake, let everyt...
