Leave Not Thy Garment!

Genesis 39:12 – "He left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out."

When faced with the above kind of situation, when you flea, don’t leave your garment in the tempter’s hand. Yes! Run with your garment.

Leaving your garment may cause more problems like the scenario in our text but in a bid to saving your garment, don’t compromise. If your garment will not be given you, then flea without it.

I had better leave my cloak than lose my character by accepting evil company. The major objective is to save yourself and not your garment. But if you can save yourself and your garment, then do it else, please save yourself.

While I advise not to leave your garment, I also strongly advise to first save yourself. God help all of us in Jesus name, Amen!

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul.
