Have You Forgotten God?

Have You Forgotten God?
Jeremiah 2:32 – Can a virgin forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? Yet my people have forgotten me days without number.

Can you forget who you love? Can a youth forget to make up and look nice? Can a bride forget her bridal gown or groom forgets his suit for wedding? The answer to all the questions is NO! But haven’t you forgotten God?

We are charged to today by the Lord, that we have forgotten Him, that we have left our first love and that we have deserted Him. Are you indicted by the Lord’s declaration and charge this day?

Beloved, just as it is impossible for someone to be awake, hale and hearty to say he has forgotten to eat because of the affairs of life; so it should be impossible for us to forget the God that created us and constantly watching over us!

In many ways people has forgotten God such as idolatry [physical and spiritual], not showing love, trust in falsehood (Jeremiah 13:25, Hosea 8:14) and others. There is a great danger in forgetting God and I know none will like to experience such a danger.

Have you forgotten God? If yes, God is waiting and ready to accept you back. Just return unto Him. He wants you back. He is ever willing to get accept you. Don’t believe the devil that says God will not accept you. Go now to God and He will accept you, remember the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15:18, Isaiah 44:22, Jeremiah 4:1, Jeremiah 24:7, Malachi 3:7.

I pray that God will give us a heart that will never forget Him. That will love Him and ever Love Him, in Jesus name, Amen. Shalom.

Don’t Look Back!

Don’t Look Back! Luke 9:62 – And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Have you answered the call to serve God as His son and daughter? Have you totally chosen Jehovah as your God? Have you decided to leave your old ways and cleave unto God? If yes! Beloved I congratulate you. But hope you took the cost of your choice?? [Please refer to yesterday’s sermon] God doesn’t want us to look back when we have answered the call, why? This is because of the following: Firstly, it brings shame to the body of Christ and makes people to despise Christ. Looking back is to be lukewarm and to depart from the first love! [Revelation 2:4, Revelation 3:16] Secondly, looking back makes the believer to suffer backwardness spiritually and physical. The faith of the believer suffers and takes a longer time to be rebuilt. [Hebrews 6:4]. Thirdly, looking back will make the person not to complete whatever he or she has started. This is w...

Heart Not Garment - 2

"Rend your heart, and not your garments." --Joel 2:13 Apart from vital godliness all religion is utterly vain; offered without a sincere heart, every form of worship is a solemn sham and an impudent mockery of the majesty of heaven. HEART-RENDING is divinely wrought and solemnly felt. It is a secret grief which is personally experienced, not in mere form, but as a deep, soul-moving work of the Holy Spirit upon the inmost heart of each believer. It is not a matter to be merely talked of and believed in, but keenly and sensitively felt in every living child of the living God. It is powerfully humiliating, and completely sin-purging; but then it is sweetly preparative for those gracious consolations which proud un-humbled spirits are unable to receive; and it is distinctly discriminating, for it belongs to the elect of God, and to them alone.

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul. Every covenant that do not bring light to your life, be destroyed now by fire! Whatever makes you to live by work and not by grace be destroyed! For God's name sake, let everyt...
