Psalms 106:7 – Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt …

Understanding is very important in both physical and spiritual life. The bible clearly stated that we should get understanding in all that we yearn for in life. – Proverbs 4:5, 7.

When one is void of understanding, mistakes and misconceptions are inevitable. When the purpose of a thing or an action is not understood, then one will misinterpret the action and misuse the thing.



The Israelites understood not the wonders of God hence they hindered the mighty move of God. They misunderstood God hence they served strange gods, made leadership difficult for Moses and couldn’t get the best of God for their lives.

Beloved, understand God! Understand why you are placed in that family, office, relationship and so on. Understand what God is doing for you and in you. Understand why God demands from you.

Get understanding rather than silver – Proverbs 16:16. You get understanding from the scriptures majorly – Psalms 119:104. Let the teaching from the scripture make your daily living. Shalom!

"Rend your heart, and not your garments." --Joel 2:13 Apart from vital godliness all religion is utterly vain; offered without a sincere heart, every form of worship is a solemn sham and an impudent mockery of the majesty of heaven. HEART-RENDING is divinely wrought and solemnly felt. It is a secret grief which is personally experienced, not in mere form, but as a deep, soul-moving work of the Holy Spirit upon the inmost heart of each believer. It is not a matter to be merely talked of and believed in, but keenly and sensitively felt in every living child of the living God. It is powerfully humiliating, and completely sin-purging; but then it is sweetly preparative for those gracious consolations which proud un-humbled spirits are unable to receive; and it is distinctly discriminating, for it belongs to the elect of God, and to them alone.

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul.
