Activating The Spoilers
Jeremiah 48:7-8
48:7For because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou shalt also be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity with his priests and his princes together.
48:8 And the spoiler shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape: the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as the LORD hath spoken.
All good things are from God but why should those things be destroyed? It's Trust!!!
If we put our trust in our work or strength or attributes then because what we put our trust on can give any good thing, all good things in our possession will be destroyed.
God wants us to trust Him even when we're in life's valley or confronted with life's mountain. 'Thou knows Lord' was the reply of Ezekiel in the valley. 'Our God is able to deliver us' was the reply of the three Hebrew boys. Likewise many others put their trust in God.
We should trust God. He's able and He'll not forsake us- Isaiah 41:17.
Amos 5:4-6.
Not putting our trust in God attracts a direct CURSE (Jeremiah 17:5, Isaiah 31:11, Proverbs 11:28; 28:26) and it activates the spoilers.
Beloved, we should adhere to God's instructions by trusting in Him. Him alone redeemed us. He never change.
Slalom!
