Love and Love Not 2

Love and Love Not 2 John 15:17-19 15:17 ... that ye love one another. 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 15:19 ... but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hate you. Despite God wants us to be a reconciler, we should be beware not to sin against God by doing what the worldly do. Gal 6:1 We are to let them see the light and not to share in their darkness. Rightly put, we are never to patronize the World. We are not of the World! 1 John 2:15-17 Why we shouldn't love the world is because they'll all pass away and they are not of the Father and against the Father's will for humanity. Do want to abide forever? If yes, then the only link is to do the will of the Father by hating the World and loving (reconciling) the worldly to their salvation and yours too. The devil will always try to make you hate the worldly so that he will get more souls but prayerfully love the worldly...

Love and Love Not 1

Love and Love Not 1 John 15:17-19 15:17 These things I command you, that ye love one another. 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hate you. Christ commanded us to love one another (all both those worldly and not) but we should not love the World. Loving the worldly but not the world is a kingdom strategy of winning the worldly. Remember, Christ love won us from darkness and this love should be shown on the worldly so as to win them as Christ won us. The ministry of reconciliation can't be completely and perfectly executed without love. Brethren, are you deficient in love? Do you love only your co-Christians? Jesus didn't love only the save. He loved also the unsaved and came basically for them. Have a rethink in your love display. 2 Cor 5:18, Luke 5:31-32. But beware as you...

The Fear of God

The Fear of God Daniel 6:3 There is a fear for the known and the unknown but whom do you fear? The fear of God made Daniel to have an excellent spirit. Joseph was established because of the fear of God. Deficiency of God's fear results to failure. Portifier's wife would have Made Joseph great temporary and if Joseph had accepted her advances, he would have been great in terms of being a master servant (a servant that heads other servants). Wisdom, Excellent Spirit and Divine Courage is gotten from the fear of God. John 14:26 The Comforter only come to those that Fear God.

Obtaining the King's Favour 3 (The Wise)

Obtaining the King's Favour 3 (The Wise) Proverbs 13:1 Proverbs 13:1 (BBE)   A wise son is a lover of teaching, but the ears of the haters of authority are shut to sharp words. Malachi 1:6 (GNT) The  Lord   Almighty says to the priests, “Children honor their parents, and servants honor their masters. I am your father—why don't you honor me? I am your master—why don't you respect me? You despise me, and yet you ask, ‘How have we despised you?’ No Wisdom, No Favour! Master Disrespected, No Favour!! Father Dishonoured, No Favour!!! From the above Scriptures and illustration, we see that honouring and respecting fathers and masters respectively yield to favour. A loyal and respectful son will always be at advantage over a proud, disobedient and despising son. Like we saw days back, God wants to favour us - in our finances, health, offices, status and otherwise (total flavoured life); but where is our honour (reverential fear) for Him. The Bible recorded that J...

Obtaining the King's Favour 2 (The Fool)

Obtaining the King's Favour 2 (The Fool) Psalms 14:1 The fool says in his heart, "God does not exist." They are corrupt; they do vile deeds. There is no one who does good.  One's deeds qualifies him or her as a fool. One who does what God hates is a fool. Proverbs 1:7,22 " Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline." " How long will you who are simple love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge?" From the above scriptures, we see that a fool is someone who Despise wisdom, Discipline and Hate knowledge. Remember wisdom is gotten through the fear of the Lord. So a fool disregard God and by despising wisdom. As no precious ring us given to a pig, so no valuable will be given to a fool. Money will not be given to an extravagant person and so on. For God to favour us on different aspects of our life, we have to show wisdom in those areas. Remem...

Obtaining the King's Favour 1

Obtaining the King's Favour 1 Proverbs 14:35 The king's favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame. The king's favour is more than a thousand servant's favour. We as servants to God and to our earthly masters seeks for their favour. This favour can only be gotten through the display of wisdom from the servant who is the seeker. This shows why some remain in service without a favour while others get multiple favour from the same master they serve. One might be force to think and say, 'The master is biase' If earthly masters can be baise, our Heavenly father's isn't. To obtain God's favour, we have to be wise. Now the question, who is wise in God's sight? Looking at the above question, we'll consider Psalms 14:1 " The fool hath said in his heart,  There is  no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works,  there is  none that doeth good." So a wise person in God's sight...

Manifesting Testimony

Manifesting Testimony Psalms 78:5 For He established a testimony in Jacob And appointed a law in Israel, Which He commanded our fathers That they should teach them to their children God in His goodness has given us the license to unlimited testimony. This license is free but there's only one thing that has to be done - Believing. The established testimony of God on humanity can't be manifested without the Word of God (His law). The teaching of God's law and Word can't directly bring the manifestation of testimony but the Believing of God's word. But the teaching is important because how can there be believing when the word has not been taught? Brethren, testimony doesn't manifest magically or with human attributes but only on Believing God's word. Doubt is the stoppage to receiving from God. It's not the sin of the seeker, but it's the unbelief. Once there's a belief, testimony is not a negotiations. Look at the Centurion, the woman wi...

Soul Restoration 2

Soul Restoration 2 Psalms 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. For something or somebody to be restored means there was a distortion, a shortage, a tempering and a short changing. Restoration of soul (which in turns gives healing to our body) is only gotten from Jehovah God not through medicine nor exercise. But one may ask, how can my soul be restored by God whom I don't see! Yes, it's very possible. Through and only through His Word. It's the Word, Instruction, Precepts of the Lord that gives this restoration. In gracefully obeying the Lord's Law then there's restoration. Remember God said, our water, bread, womb, days are blessed and He will take sickness from our midst but if only we serve Him (by doing His Word)-Exodus 23:25-26. Hence you see that the perfection of our health is via the soul when we obey the Lord's Law(by grace not by strength). Naaman sick was resto...

Soul Restoration 1

Soul Restoration 1 Psalms 23:3 He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Healing starts from the soul which then reflect on the body. The last six day was the series "Praying for Physical Healing" and today begins another series on "Soul Restoration", but let us understand the place of soul and body. God's desire and wish for humanity is that our souls be always in a fine state. The soul is paramount above the body. It's the perfume of the body. Things can happen to the body without the soul suffering but anything that happen to the soul have a resultant effect on the body. People normally protect the body instead of the soul. But God who is the all knowing, protects our soul first. 3 John 2. Even Job, Daniel, the three Hebrews boys, also those that endured in the Bible diverse kind of affliction; knew that the soul is what to be guided and not primarily the body. Jesus said, "... fear He that can kill b...

Praying for Physical Healing 6

Praying for Physical Healing by John Eldredge,  Moving Mountains Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up.  — James 5:14–15 Updated NIV What we are doing in healing prayer is bringing the body into a place where the power of God can flow into the affliction — especially into the places of affliction. We are also presenting ourselves to be used of God as channels of that healing power. Step Six: Curse the illness. Early in the morning, as Jesus was on His way back to the city, He was hungry. Seeing a fig tree by the road, He went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then He said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered.  — Matthew 21:18–19 Updated NIV The Bible takes blessing and cursing very seriously because it is real; it works. In bot...

We are also presenting ourselves to be used of God as channels of that healing power. Step Five: Address the Demonic. I find it fascinating that in a number of episodes where Jesus brought physical healing to someone, He actually did it by banishing foul spirits: Then they brought Him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see.  — Matthew 12:22 The enemy hates us; his human allies such as witches hate us, too, and they curse Ch...

We are also presenting ourselves to be used of God as channels of that healing power. Step Four: Watch for the Cloud Rising from the Sea. It is helpful to have the person you are praying for share with you any changes she is feeling in her body as you pray. This includes positive changes: “Wow — when you guys started worshipping over me, I felt a warmth through my body.” In that case, worship more (or whatever produced the change)! But also report any negative changes, “My headache just got ...

You are turning on a hose to fill that well; it is going to take some time. “Wait upon the Lord.” Give it time as you pray; don’t rush it. (I’m continually surprised how short most Christians’ prayers are — like, a minute or two. That barely gets things going; that is not going to accomplish much at all. It’s like trying to fell a tree with one stroke of an a...

We are also presenting ourselves to be used of God as channels of that healing power. Step Two: Invoke the Life of God. The mechanics of healing prayer are quite simple: we are invoking the life force of God into the afflicted body to restore it. This is the power that raised Jesus from the dead, the power that gives life to and sustains all creation. There is plenty of it to go around (four hundred billion billion suns’ worth, and more!). So as we begin to invoke the healing power of God, w...

We are also presenting ourselves to be used of God as channels of that healing power. Step One: Consecrate the Body and the Specific Places Needing Healing. Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.  — Romans 12:1 Updated NIV Consecration, brings the consecrated object back under the rule of Jesus, into His kingdom, and therefore available to His blessing....

Godliness With Contentment

*GODLINESS WITH CONTENTMENT* Memorise: But godliness with contentment is a great gain. 1st Timothy 6:6 Read: 1st Timothy 6:6-11 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. Bible in one year: Nehemiah 1-3, Ecclesiastes 7:19-29 The moment a person makes up his mind to focus his passion and life on seeking after the things of God, he becomes very content with life. There are lots of people who are not enjoying their lives because they are being consumed with the mundane things of this world. As a child of God, your focus and attention should centre on the Word of God which will help you live life with a sense of fulfilment. It is not the abundance of what you have that determines the joy that you get in life. I have been privileged to get close to many wealthy and influential people, and I have concluded that the best kind of life is a life of simplicity. There are people, who focus on gaining worldly possessions, but those who know the essence of life will focus on things...

Activating God's Financial Increase

Activating God's Financial Increase Genesis 26:1 Anyone who wants to go to Heaven must obey instruction. Famine is equivalent to economic recession and financial holocaust. Obeying God's word makes one to experience only the good of anywhere he or she dwells in. Keying into God's Word and operating in the covenant is the difference between a man experiencing generational blessings and curse. Isaac wasn't blessed because of Abraham's wealth but because he obeyed Gods word that activated the covenant. He followed the principles of God and was a covenant practitioner. He despise the weather. You don't have to hide under anyone but follow God the way he wants andy be ye separate. Isaac remembered the covenant of seed time. Your character and behaviour is a seed. Genesis 26:12-15, Galatian 4:28 The covenant is the hammer to break every affliction and poverty. Stay glued to the covenant. ______ An extract of a sermon by Apostle Samuel Idedevwo of Christ...

Using the Gleaning Principle to Help the Poor

And Ruth the Moabite said to Naomi, “Let me go to the fields and pick up the leftover grain behind anyone in whose eyes I find favor.” Naomi said to her, “Go ahead, my daughter.” So she went out, entered a field and began to glean behind the harvesters. As it turned out, she was working in a field belonging to Boaz, who was from the clan of Elimelek. —Ruth 2:2–3, NIV Using the Gleaning Principle to Help the Poor Habit: Stewardship In ancient Israel, God instituted the practice of gleaning as a way to feed the poor. A farmer would leave some of his crop in the fields, and afterward the poor (the fatherless, widows, foreigners) would gather the leftover crops for their own sustenance.* Vineyards, as well as fields of grain, were to be available for gleaning (see Leviticus 19:10; Deuteronomy 24:20—21). The most well–known example of gleaning is found in the book of Ruth. To feed herself and her mother–in–law, Ruth “went out, entered a field and began to glean behind the harvester...

Custodian of Universal Peace

Custodian of Universal Peace John 14:27 Peace has turned out to be one of the essential commodities of the end time. Many international organizations such as United Nations, Africa Union and so on are clamouring and creating awareness for the need of Peace. Terrorist groups and factional groups post a big threat to peace. Some prominent leaders a d government official are not left out. There is no guarantee for lasting peace through the strategies of human. So why is lasting peace found? "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you ..." Peace (lasting peace) is only found in Jesus Christ. He's is the Custodian of Peace (... My peace ...). Peace through dialogue is possible but not lasting and this is the world's peace. The Prince of Peace; Jesus Christ has a better solution to the issues that encompass us. As a Nation, Family, Individual, Organization etc we must embrace Jesus' Peace by accepting Him. Not being religious but being Christ like...

How Do You See Yourself!

How Do You See Yourself! Jacob looked at Joseph and saw a good son! The ten brothers looked at Joseph and saw a useless dreamer! The travellers looked at Joseph and saw a slave!! Potiphar looked at Joseph and saw a fine servant!! Potiphar' s wife looked at Joseph and saw a potential boyfriend! The prison officers saw in Joseph a prisoner! How wrong were all of them! God looked at Joseph and saw a Prime Minister of Egypt in waiting!! Don' t be discouraged by what people see in you!! Be encouraged by what God sees in you!! Never underrate the person next to you because you never know what the Lord has deposited in that person. Your maid may be a Chief Executive Officer in waiting for a company which shall employ your child. Your garden-boy may be a president in waiting. (Remember David got the anointing of becoming a King while he was a simple child herding sheep. Esther was a simple orphaned girl yet she was a Queen in waiting). Let's share God's love and make the wo...

Situation Catalyst 3

Situation Catalyst 3 Numbers 13:30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, "We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it." What matters is not the fact that you are able physically but spiritually. Situations are change by our spiritual ability and not physical. The race is not to the swift and it's not him that wills but the Lord who shows mercy. How is our spiritual ability? I mean your belief and confession. Physically the Israelite were at disadvantage but spiritually they weren't. Joshua and Caleb understood the spiritual and maximized it. For that situation to change, we have to understand the spiritual and develop our spiritual ability. It takes spiritual ability to change situations. Failing to develop our spiritual ability will result to failures, hindering us from entering and taking what God wants us to take as well as enter. My dear beloved, your spiritual ability should be your focus. Do you concur...

Situation Catalyst 2

Situation Catalyst 2 Nahum 3:1,4,5,6,7 1 Woe to the bloody city! .. 4 Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the well favoured harlot, ... 5 ... I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame. 6 And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee as a gazing stock. 7 And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon thee shall flee from thee, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters for thee? Hello brethren, like we discussed yesterday in situation catalyst 1, pride is a among what can rapidly bring a change to someone's situation as well as humility. Looking at bloodiness and whoredoms today as another factor that can bring a rapid change to one's situation. Are you bloody? Before you rushed and answer, wait a moment. A bloody person must not be a murder. Do you make pe...

Situation Catalyst 1

Situation Catalyst 1 The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, .. thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD. Obadiah 1:2-3 Pride! What is pride? Today, I want you to know that pride isn't just exalting yourself but it is simply not considering what made you. Many will say how can one be proud in respect to God. Once a believer fails to remain a believer and relies on his self as his source rather than God, he or she is proud. The Lord Jehovah loves the humble and works with the humble. Now note, THE PRIDE OF THY HEART! Is there a message? God looks at the heart hence one might be proud from human's view but deep down in heart where God looks at, he or she is humble. Pride brings down fail. You see from the scripture, it was pride that made Edom relegated even to the extent of being lesser than the heathens. God wants us to be great but humble (keep keeping on even in greatness as when thous was in small). Greatness only come through Humility. Allowing Go...

The Love of God - His Kiss!

The Love of God - His Kiss! Song of Solomon 1:2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine. Greetings brethren. The extent to which God loves us is unexplainable and incomparable. His love for us keeps us going. Despite the love of God upon us do we long and desire His greater Love? Do we desire God's kiss always? Hear this, no matter our physical look, God's kiss is always available once we have the true zeal. The Father kissed the prodigal son, remembered? In our routine living, we should always desire God's kiss and His love. His kiss is His stamp of identification, selection and ownership. His kiss results in one's peace, favour, blessings, joy and more. His love brought us out of darkness and ushered us into a gloriously marvelous inheritance. His love is the best thing to anyone. Don't be fooled! God loves you. A mother can forget her baby even the less than a year old but God can't forget you. Even as yo...

A New Experience

A New Experience Lamentations 1:2-3 She weepeth sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among all her lovers she hath none to comfort her: all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they are become her enemies. Judah is gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude: she dwelleth among the heathen, she findeth no rest: all her persecutors overtook her between the straits. Have your situations or conditions similitude or above the afore quoted scripture? Are you in a moment of consideration to either compromising your faith or continuing in steadfastness? God can never forget you. If you're steadfast in Christ then a new experience is not far from you. Else, come to Christ for he's every ready for you. He has given you all things but you have to come onto Him just as you are, if you aren't in Him. My message is, there's a new experience ahead of you despite your circumstances. Jehovah our provider is more than suffic...

Altar Burning!

Altar Burning! Leviticus 8:16 And he took all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and Moses burned it upon the altar. The altar is not a place of receiving only but also a place of giving. Things of positive impact must be done on the altar not in a fetishistic manner. This is to prepare one of the days ahead for it's not when the flood has come that you begin planning for evacuation. God instructed Moses to keep the fire on the altar burning continuously and it shouldn't go off. {Leviticus 6:12-13 Meanwhile, the fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must never go out. Each morning the priest will add fresh wood to the fire and arrange the burnt offering on it. He will then burn the fat of the peace offerings on it. Remember, the fire must be kept burning on the altar at all times. It must never go out. (NLT)} Do you have an altar relationship as a Christian? Do you burn on your altar? Prayer...

Rest Awhile

Rest Awhile Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls] (Matthew 11:28 ). Getting stress out of your life takes more than prayer alone. You must take action to make changes and stop doing whatever is causing the stress. You can learn to calm down in the way you handle things. Jesus invited us to come to Him if we are overburdened. He promised to refresh us if we are weary, worn out, or overworked. Take time to go to Jesus anytime you feel that you are going over the edge of peace and into the pit of stress. Let His presence refill and refresh you. Come Apart to Stay Together And the effect of righteousness will be peace [internal and external], and the result of righteousness will be quietness and confident trust forever (Isaiah 32:17 ). If you are feeling compelled to do so much that you are physically worn out, you may be driven instead of led. Remember, you have to come apa...
