Praying Amiss 2
1 Timothy 2:8
[8] I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
Yesterday day, we started this series and we briefly learnt that when we pray, our spiritual being should be employed and not out physical personality.
Here, Paul advice that wrath (anger) and doubt (fear) which are physical characteristic of the physical being shouldn't be seen in whosoever is praying.
Remember, the anger of human works not the righteousness of God, James 1:20. That unholy angry in you makes your prayers to be amiss. Moses was supposed to speak (an act of prayer) to the Rock (Christ) but out of human anger, he strike the Rock (see 1 Corinthians 10:4). This is the message, when we pray with human anger in us we are Striking the Rock. Don't strike Christ.
Doubt is not a spirit of God, it makes is unstable and spiritually weightless. Get rid of doubt (fear) and see yourself excelling in prayers. See 2 Timothy 1:7, James 1:6-8.
Shalom dear!
