Path To Newness 4
Genesis 12:1-4 KJV

[4] So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

Obey God!
There is no other way to experience newness of life without being obedient. If Abram didn't obey God and move out of worldliness and idolatry, he won't have been blessed. If Gideon hadn't brought down that altar of baal in his father's house, he wouldn't have recorded victory against the Midianites. The marriage at Cana was salvage by the disciples' act of filling the pots with water.

Beloved all the above took place because they hear, listen, trusted and obeyed. Simon Peter said 'nevertheless at thy word...', at whose words do you act? Are your action based on God's words or on your intellect, feelings, heart etc? Newness of life is a mirage if we can't follow this path (Hear - Listen - Trust - Obey).

The hearing ears, listening mind, trusting spirit and obedient heart be given unto us!

"Rend your heart, and not your garments." --Joel 2:13 Apart from vital godliness all religion is utterly vain; offered without a sincere heart, every form of worship is a solemn sham and an impudent mockery of the majesty of heaven. HEART-RENDING is divinely wrought and solemnly felt. It is a secret grief which is personally experienced, not in mere form, but as a deep, soul-moving work of the Holy Spirit upon the inmost heart of each believer. It is not a matter to be merely talked of and believed in, but keenly and sensitively felt in every living child of the living God. It is powerfully humiliating, and completely sin-purging; but then it is sweetly preparative for those gracious consolations which proud un-humbled spirits are unable to receive; and it is distinctly discriminating, for it belongs to the elect of God, and to them alone.

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul.
