[11] Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good...

Following is part of human life. Directly or indirectly we follow things trending like fashion, technology, news and others. Following is even done via the social media. You frequently get updates about what you follow like on the social media and these updates are on your timeline. Following is not bad but what or who is followed defines the following as go or bad.

The scripture here admonishes us to be followers of that which is good. Why should I follow that which is good? Like the social media, you have a timeline and your timeline will be filled with what you follow. When you follow good, you become good also, Proverbs 13:20. Psalm 1 showered blessings on whosoever following that which is good.

Beloved, the best and easy way to do good is by following that which is good. A Nigerian adage says, 'A leaf becomes soap when it wrap for long'. Look for that which is good and follow it!!

"Rend your heart, and not your garments." --Joel 2:13 Apart from vital godliness all religion is utterly vain; offered without a sincere heart, every form of worship is a solemn sham and an impudent mockery of the majesty of heaven. HEART-RENDING is divinely wrought and solemnly felt. It is a secret grief which is personally experienced, not in mere form, but as a deep, soul-moving work of the Holy Spirit upon the inmost heart of each believer. It is not a matter to be merely talked of and believed in, but keenly and sensitively felt in every living child of the living God. It is powerfully humiliating, and completely sin-purging; but then it is sweetly preparative for those gracious consolations which proud un-humbled spirits are unable to receive; and it is distinctly discriminating, for it belongs to the elect of God, and to them alone.

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul.
