Willingness First
2 Corinthians 8:12

[12] For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.

God deals with the mind and not with body. The place of a willing mind can't be push away from the walk with God. God forces no man to do his will nor to obey Him.

Willingness is not just in giving but in our every walk with God. Service brings blessings but some attract curses, why? When we serve God with unwillingness, to the physical we have served but to God we haven't and the consequences of not serving will be on us.

Beloved, we have to make up our mind to be willing in the vineyard of the Lord so that your services will be profitable unto you. God doesn't accept a service from a heart that murmurs and complain. So in everything we do our heart must first be made up to do what we what to do.

For the next few days, we will be looking at willingness in respect to serving God. May God teach us all and light us up!

"Rend your heart, and not your garments." --Joel 2:13 Apart from vital godliness all religion is utterly vain; offered without a sincere heart, every form of worship is a solemn sham and an impudent mockery of the majesty of heaven. HEART-RENDING is divinely wrought and solemnly felt. It is a secret grief which is personally experienced, not in mere form, but as a deep, soul-moving work of the Holy Spirit upon the inmost heart of each believer. It is not a matter to be merely talked of and believed in, but keenly and sensitively felt in every living child of the living God. It is powerfully humiliating, and completely sin-purging; but then it is sweetly preparative for those gracious consolations which proud un-humbled spirits are unable to receive; and it is distinctly discriminating, for it belongs to the elect of God, and to them alone.

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul.
