Just Come!

Just Come!
Matthew 11:28 – Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Jesus is so gracious and keen to give rest to every troubled and heavy laden soul. One of His purposes of coming is to give rest to humanity- to stop the defeated and profitless life of human. How can this be?

Jesus giving us rest is just by our coming. That is the first and basic criteria to having divine rest from God. How can we come? Does it mean until we die and meet Jesus before we can have rest? No! We come to Jesus through our faith in Him. We need nothing else first but just faith. Jesus is bidding us come, just as we are and nothing more.

Some will say you have to be perfect and holy before coming unto Jesus and before having rest. No! Jesus came not for the perfect and holy; Matthew 9:12; and it is not primarily your perfection and holiness that will give you rest but your coming to Jesus. Just obey the bidding and come first then you will see how your rest will come.

Beloved of God, that load is too heavy and you can help yourself [even me can’t help myself], so we have to come unto Jesus daily. Come to Jesus the way you are, whether as a sinner or whatever to find rest to that troubled life.

May come give us grace to come unto Him and once we have come, may we have the strength to say no to the things of this world and to continue in Christ Jesus, in Jesus name – Amen.

Don’t Look Back!

Don’t Look Back! Luke 9:62 – And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Have you answered the call to serve God as His son and daughter? Have you totally chosen Jehovah as your God? Have you decided to leave your old ways and cleave unto God? If yes! Beloved I congratulate you. But hope you took the cost of your choice?? [Please refer to yesterday’s sermon] God doesn’t want us to look back when we have answered the call, why? This is because of the following: Firstly, it brings shame to the body of Christ and makes people to despise Christ. Looking back is to be lukewarm and to depart from the first love! [Revelation 2:4, Revelation 3:16] Secondly, looking back makes the believer to suffer backwardness spiritually and physical. The faith of the believer suffers and takes a longer time to be rebuilt. [Hebrews 6:4]. Thirdly, looking back will make the person not to complete whatever he or she has started. This is w...

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul. Every covenant that do not bring light to your life, be destroyed now by fire! Whatever makes you to live by work and not by grace be destroyed! For God's name sake, let everyt...

Everlasting Not Temporal!

Everlasting Not Temporal! Jeremiah 31:3 – The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee Hello God’s Love! There is a love greater than the greatest love you have ever experience on earth, that love is the Love of God. Malachi 1:2. God love all but all don’t have the same love effect or love level. Long before we were born, God has already loved us. This His love is everlasting not temporal. This love is not subject to some conditions before it is demonstrated or shown. This love just flow from God our Father to us supernaturally. This everlasting love of God has made Him draw us from the troubles and problems of this world to His place of joy and everlasting peace. [Ephesians 1:3, Hebrews 1:1-5]. The fact remains that we did nothing to acquire God’s love but we do things to grow His love for us. In the same way, despite what we do His love for us remains but we ...
