Prevent The Worst!
Judges 6:1-10 – Verse 10 --- And I said to you, I am the Lord your God; you are not to give worship to the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living, but you did not give ear to my voice
Things will never be the same when there is disobedience and rebellion of human to God. God is always faithful and always defend and protects His obedient children. When the children of Israel were obedient they prevented the worse. The Midianites couldn’t touch them.
To prevent the worst is simply to hearken to the instructions of God. The instructions are for our benefit and progress. Disobedience to the word of God makes everything to rebel against the disobedient. You can see from verse 1 that God gave the Israelite into the hands of the Midianites because of their disobedience [evil].
I pray that the grace to be obedient be given to us. Whatsoever that makes us to disobey God, let it be destroyed. Nobody will feed on your hard labour. Pray daily that God will empower you to be faithful to Him and not to take His grace for granted. Shalom!
