Colossians 2:8 – Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ

In the journey of following Christ, as long as you are still on earth, you have to beware of the traditions of men. The traditions of men are always in contrast to the mind and will of God.

The things of the spirit can’t be understood and interpreted by acquiring degrees but by the spirit of God. Anyone who uses philosophy and enticing words to teach you the scriptures should be deserted by you. Avoid those kinds of people no matter their portfolio.

Beloved, ensure that the salvations you have gotten is kept safe by you. This you can do by avoiding the tradition of men. What are these traditions? Matthew 15:1-6, Mark 7:1-13. Anything that contradicts the word of God is the tradition of men.

Be wise and keep your salvation. Shalom!

It is a secret grief which is personally experienced, not in mere form, but as a deep, soul-moving work of the Holy Spirit upon the inmost heart of each believer. It is not a matter to be merely talked of and believed in, but keenly and sensitively felt in every living child of the living God. It is powerfully humiliating, and completely sin-purging; but then it is sweetly preparative for those gracious consolations which proud un-humbled spirits are unable to receive; and it is distinctly discriminating, for it belongs to the elect of God, and to them alone.

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul.
