Receiving Peace
Leviticus 26:3 – If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them

We saw in our theme’s sermon that the world need peace and they have strategized in different ways to get peace but the peace they seek is not coming rather they have more troubles. So how can the peace come?

In the word of God! Yes, it is only in the word of God that we can peace. Note however that in the word of God there is peace but for the peace to be evident in our life, then there must be doing of the word of God.

By doing the word of God, you live your life as God instructs through His word. In the secular world, when you break the constitution or a code of conduct, the offender will not have peace. This is the same way it is with the word of God. When we leave the frame of God’s word then we will not have peace that comes only through the word of God.

Beloved, you need peace of various kinds. All you need to do is to live by the word of God. Keep doing the word of God and nothing will deny you peace. Shalom!

Prayer

Jehovah, I want to be a doer of your word. Help me O Lord that I will not live my life outside your word. Thank you for I know you will empower me to live in accordance to your word and you will give me divine peace in Jesus name – Amen.

It is powerfully humiliating, and completely sin-purging; but then it is sweetly preparative for those gracious consolations which proud un-humbled spirits are unable to receive; and it is distinctly discriminating, for it belongs to the elect of God, and to them alone.

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul.
