“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” - - - Malachi 3:10

Hallelujah!

God is a God that is interested in the growth and prosperity of His people. Hence he gives instructions on how His children should have the prosperity, growth and blessings that He desires for us.

He wishes us to prosper (3 John 2) but this prosperity can’t come when His children are disobedient to His instructions. 

God has laid down here another principle for advancement and increase – payment of tithes. Tithe is one-tenth of one’s income and it should be brought into God’s storehouse and not given to another house or person.

To open the windows of heaven and lock the doors of the enemies, one has to pay the tithes of His income. Tithing is a divine instruction and obedience to it brings divine increase but disobedience to it brings hardness – Deuteronomy 28:8, 23.

It is a secret grief which is personally experienced, not in mere form, but as a deep, soul-moving work of the Holy Spirit upon the inmost heart of each believer. It is not a matter to be merely talked of and believed in, but keenly and sensitively felt in every living child of the living God. It is powerfully humiliating, and completely sin-purging; but then it is sweetly preparative for those gracious consolations which proud un-humbled spirits are unable to receive; and it is distinctly discriminating, for it belongs to the elect of God, and to them alone.

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul.
