Who Is Your Counsellor? 2 Chronicles 22:3-4 KJV [3] ..for his mother was his counsellor to do wickedly. [4] Wherefore he did evil in the sight of the Lord ... for they were his counsellors after the death of his father to his destruction. The person counselling a man determine the making or marring of the man. As a human, whose counsel and path are you following? Don't allow people make you as they are through their counsels. Don't destroy yourself via following negativity. In the scripture above, you see a mother advising her son to his destruction. She is not a parent in the Lord, Eph 6:1. Despite being a mother, he shouldn't had obeyed her. Take good counsel and disregard every evil counsel no matter who the counsel is from. Don't be like king Rehoboam who forsook good counsel and took side with his mates that gave him bad counsel, 2 Chronicles 10:6-14. Image of God, there are adversaries over and against you trying to close the great and effective door that God opened for you, and to keep your head down. They will not win over you if you don't allow them. On the authority of this scripture, every horn that has come to scatter you must be destroyed.
