Hebrews 4:2 - For indeed we have had glad tidings presented to us, even as they also; but the word of the report did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard

Faith is a fruit and also among the gifts of the Holy Spirit but the difference is known in the manifestation. Believers are fruitful in Faith bearing except those that are Thomas in nature.

For every believer of Jesus to benefit from the scripture and teachings of God, what he/she hears must be mixed with faith. Do you manifest faith as a fruit or is it doubt and unbelief that you manifest? Do you believer in the Bible as God’s word or do you take the Bible as a story book?

There are profits in following God but this profit can only be gotten when we mix His words with faith like Peter that said NEVERTHELESS AT THY WORD, Luke 5:5. Peter then had no faith as a gift but as a fruit.

I pray that we all grow in faith but this can only be when we heard more of God.

"Rend your heart, and not your garments." --Joel 2:13 Apart from vital godliness all religion is utterly vain; offered without a sincere heart, every form of worship is a solemn sham and an impudent mockery of the majesty of heaven. HEART-RENDING is divinely wrought and solemnly felt. It is a secret grief which is personally experienced, not in mere form, but as a deep, soul-moving work of the Holy Spirit upon the inmost heart of each believer. It is not a matter to be merely talked of and believed in, but keenly and sensitively felt in every living child of the living God. It is powerfully humiliating, and completely sin-purging; but then it is sweetly preparative for those gracious consolations which proud un-humbled spirits are unable to receive; and it is distinctly discriminating, for it belongs to the elect of God, and to them alone.

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul.
