Psalm 4:7

[7] Thou hast put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound.

Joy as the second fruit of the Holy Spirit is not joy as a result of the availability of material substances. This is divine joy that its source is the Holy Spirit. Joy (cara) is exultation that arises from the knowledge of God’s mercy to a soul for its iniquity and hope of eternal glory.

Every begotten of God have this joy that is why when things go bad he/her like Job screams I KNOW THAT MY REDEEMER LIVETH – Job 15:25-26. Let not you and I as believer obtain our joy from the things of this world because all will vanish away, Colossians 3:2. Like Jesus our mentor, we should all endure the life here on earth because of the eternal joy ahead of us, Hebrews 12:2; 6:15; 11:27.

I pray that every believer will always bear and manifest this fruit so that we can all endure the perverseness of this generation and the trials that will come to us. Shalom!

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul. Entering His Rest Hebrews 4:3 KJV For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. Total Increase and Perfect Rest 2016 was given by God. Looking at REST again, we found out there is no rest without believing in God the rest author and giver. Rest in this context is not death but a state of no physical struggles before benefits. Rest is a state of divine favour, no toiling all night and nothing to show. Believing in God is the prerequisite to entering His rest. His disciples entered into rest because 'At His word they cast their net', Luke 5:5; likewise the Zarephath woman in 1 Kings 17:15.
