Honouring God's Name Malachi 1:12 For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the Lord of hosts. But ye have profaned it, in that ye say, The table of the Lord is polluted; and the fruit thereof, even his meat, is contemptible. God so much value His name and warned again profaning or dishonouring His name, Leviticus 19:12; 22:2, 32. It's through the name of God that we get victories, supplies, protections and others, Psalms 89:24. The name of God is on everyone that identifies with God, Isaiah 43:7, 'Christ Like' for 'Christian'. Our actions and inactions does it promote God's name among the heathens? Whom to Trust? Psalm 36:7-9 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. Before trust is given to anybody or anything, the reliability of concerned must be known. Human, Materials and God who is more reliable? Before you trust any of the listed, then you have to know the reliability. Also, the creature is not more reliable than the Creator. The creator can recreate but the creature can not. Beloved, one thing God hates is the first issue of misappropriation of trust. Trusting the creature rather than the Creator, Jeremiah 39:18. The benefits of trusting God are numerous of which some are: they never lack, they never thirst and they have light and life. Jeremiah 17:7. Beloved, trust God only, not man!

Are You An Asset or A Liability? Matthew 25:16-18 16 Immediately d the one who received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 In like manner he e who got the two gained another two. 18 But he who received the one went away and dug in the earth, and hid his lord’s money. An asset is useful, valuable and an advantage to a system but a liability is not. God is looking for assets not liability. In the family, Church and society, are you and asset? If your absence is not felt then your presence is not needed. In the area of evangelism of souls, giving of finance and physical participation and attendance, are you found wanting? If yes, then you are a liability! John 15:8, Acts 2:47-42. If you are not bearing fruits in Christ, then you are a liability. If you are a drunk, a fornicator, a worldly person, a self-centered person  and others then you are not an asset. May God give us the grace to be assets in Christ and not liability - Amen.

God's Emancipation Zephaniah 2:8-9 8 I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the insults of the children of Ammon, with which they have reproached my people, and magnified themselves against their border. 9 Therefore as I live, says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, surely Moab will be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, a possession of nettles, and salt pits, and a perpetual desolation. Don't Be Violent Obadiah 1:10 KJV For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever. Violence is any action done with extreme force that causes pain, suffering and destruction. This action is done intentionally to another. God is not the God of violence but of peace, joy and love. Hence, God hates violence. We as God's images, we should also hate violence. We as one image, should never be violent to another. From our scripture, you see the declaration on Esau because of his violence upon his brother Jacob. Also in Genesis 6:11, we see that violence was a contributory factor that made God to destroy the first Earth. Psalms 11:5 state it clearly that the Lord hates those that loves violence. According to Ability Ezra 2:69 KJV They gave after their ability unto the treasure of the work threescore and one thousand drams of gold... In giving, we should never attempt to give because others gave but we should give in accordance to our ability. It's only when we give according to our ability that there will not be grudges, unwillingness and compelling; which in return bring the desired blessings and others blessing as well. The ability here is not the physical ability but the spiritual. A wealthy human have the physical ability to give but may not have the spiritual ability and vice versa. To receive blessings and not curse, we have to give according to our ability. In Acts 11:29; the fathers of Christianity and those first called Christians, gave according to their ability. Get it Filled! Ecclesiastes 11:3 3  If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves on the earth;... The rain can never fall without the cloud getting filled. You must had heard about the water cycle, the earth must give water (evaporation) continuously else the rain will tarry. This is the principal and psychology behind giving and stewardship. Heavenly Wisdom James 3:13,15,17,18 [17] But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. A wise human is he or she that acknowledges God. A fool is he or he that says there's no God. Psalms 53:1. God's 'wisdometer' is not human's; saying right words and meekness is wisdom in God's sight. Greed, cheating, pride, envy etc. is not display of God's wisdom but human's. Brethren when the world call you wise and celebrates you, don't be carried away but check yourself if really you are celebrated for Heavenly wisdom or Earthly wisdom. As Christians, we should not be like the heathen. Don't have the same wisdom as the heathens. Gain to Loss Philippians 3:7-8 7 However, what things were gain to me, these have I counted loss for Christ. 8 More than that, I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus... In this life, if we desire to wholesomely follow Christ, there are things of gain to us that has to be counted and turned ad loss. Take an example of Apostle Paul who spoke above, the fleshy zeal he had was count as loss. We also, have to count our materialistic, carnal and worldly gain as loss. What are those things we derive pleasure in? Those things that don't exalt the knowledge of Christ should be drop. That drinking, smoking, formication, fraudulent practices, greed, envy, hate, malice, falsehood and others should not be practiced. We are redeemed, regeneration and resurrected. Beloved, anything that does not exalt Christ and that is not to His Excellency should be counted as loss. May God Almighty give us the strength and mindset to count worldly as loss

Fervent in Spirit! Romans 12:11 [11] Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; The Lord doesn't just desire human to serve Him in truth and SPIRIT but He always want us to be fervent, filled and steadfast in the spirit. In our serving the Lord, we have to first serve Him in spirit then we should be fervent in spirit. Why 'in spirit?' The flesh can't please God, it's in enmity with the spirit. With the flesh none can please God. Guess you see the reason of being fervent and serving God in spirit. Looking at some verses, Acts 18:24-25 - Apollos had a good commendation because of his ferventness in the spirit; 1 Peter 4:8 -  we're advised to be fervent in love (a characteristic of a Christian). Being fervent in the spirit is being zealous of the things of God. Grow in Grace 2 Peter 3:18 [18] But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. Growth is a characteristic of a living thing. It's very essential because it shows that someone is still living. As it's in the physical so it is in the spiritual. Every 'child' of God has to grow into being a 'son' of God. Spiritual growth has no end. Apostle Paul even as vast as he was in the knowledge of God still desires to know God and the power of His resurrection, Philippians 3:10. On another occasions, he wished us growth from glory to Glory, 2 Corinthians 3:18. Beloved, let's sincerely ask ourselves this morning; 'Are we growing in grace and the knowledge of God?' Living Safe 1 Peter 3:13 [13]And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? Living safe is a life that can't be hurt by the scheme of the evil ones. Evil can't out run good just as darkness can't cover light. The Bible told us, 'The light shines in darkness and darkness comprehended it not'. You see, evil can't overpower good. Having a safe life is to follow and do good. A follower and dose of good can't be destroyed. Joseph, Daniel and others in the Bible that did good were not overpowered by evil. Don't ever believe that your good will destroy you. Doing good is God's will and doing God's will results to God's protection. Look at it again in Proverbs 16:7. Is your way pleasing to God? In What Do You Glory? Galatians 6:13-14 [13] ... that they may glory in your flesh. [14] But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ ... Glorying in something is simply boasting about it. That's worshiping or praising something or somebody. As Christians (Christ-like) what are we to glory in? What should be our source of boast or joy? Is it in our works or His grace? Apostle Paul forbade glorying in the flesh but in the cross (a representation of God's grace). He admonished us to also glory in the cross. Beloved, what everything we glory in that is not the grace of God, we are just giving ourselves false hope. Those things can't guarantee our salvation. They might give us momentary pleasure but not salvation. Those things will pass away and be destroyed with fire but not God's Grace. Wisdom of the Ants Proverbs 6:6-8 6 Go to the ant, you sluggard. Consider her ways, and be wise; 7 which having no chief, overseer, or ruler,  8 provides her bread in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest. The ants are creatures they are very wise. They are very negligible in body weight but they do things that the mighty can't do. It's the wisdom of the ants that makes them to coordinate themselves and peacefully execute any task before them. They wisdom makes them to be united even in their differences (we have different types of ant according to classification), Proverbs 30:25. Wisdom is very vital, and it's more precious and valuable than strength in most cases. With wisdom the small but powerless can prevail against the powerful but foolish, just like the ants. Fiery Spirit Judges 15:14 ... the Philistines shouted as they met him: and the Spirit of the LORD rushed upon him, and the ropes that were on his arms became like flax that was burnt with fire, ... There are diverse kind of Jehovah's Spirit and often a representation of Jehovah's spirit is by fire. Every carrier of God's spirit is a potential fire carrier. See what happened, the spirit of God melted the ropes on him (Samson). Note that because he knew he had God's spirit, he was not afraid of the actions of human. Proverbs 16:7 Beloved, we all need God's spirit in our life so that we can be delivered without being a victim. Also, so that we can be bold and fearless. Joy Isaiah 12:3 Therefore with joy you will draw water out of the wells of salvation. The English defined joy as, a feeling of extreme happiness or cheerfulness, especially related to the acquisition or expectation of something good. Talking about joy in the spiritual, it is a inner cheerful feelings seen outwardly. This joy doesn't come the physical things we see. In a real sense, this earth can't give a believer joy, rather the assurance of God on his or her life. Considering this verse, we see that Joy is a connector to receiving our spiritual blessings. No one give gifts to someone who is a sadist, who rejoices not. To receive gifts and blessing, put on a bright face and mood. Proverbs 17:22 a cheerful heart makes good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Do you have a merry, cheerful and joyous heart or a crushed spirit? Pride and Insolence Isaiah 10:12 Therefore it will happen that, when the Lord has performed his whole work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the willful proud heart of the king of Assyria, and the insolence of his haughty looks. Failure for any human to acknowledge, recognized and glorify God for successes and victories recorded in his or her life is pride and insolence. Look at what the King of Syria said, 'By the strength of my hand ...' He never acknowledge God. He took God's glory and praise. He didn't recognized God at all in his life. God told us in His word that He hates pride, arrogance ... Proverbs 8:13. God promise to destroy the fruits of the 'willful pride' and even in Prov. 16:18, we are told that pride goes before a fall and destruction. Beloved, what is that thing you are proud of? God's Desire Hosea 6:6 6  For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. Two things has been spelt out here as what God desires. In ever human, this two things are not to be found lacking. They are: ~ Mercy ~ Knowledge of God If any human is not merciful then God equally will not be merciful to such a human, Matthew 5:7. Without the knowledge of God, we can please and serve God, Hosea 4:6, 1 Corinthians 3:19. As a human, do you put sacrifice above mercy and burnt offerings above knowing God? What makes sacrifices and burnt offerings speak is when we are merciful and know God. King Saul failed because he put sacrifice above the knowledge of God, 1 Samuel 15:15-23. Having the knowledge of God is having a reverential fear of Him and obeying is commands. You can't disobey God and come to Him with sacrifices. Do you think you can bribe God? Rulers and God Ecclesiastes 8:2 I counsel thee to keep the king's commandment, and that in regard of the oath of God. Two bodies are involved and referred to here. God; who is the superior and installer of human rulers, the other is human; who is a steward ruler. People find it difficult to choose between obeying the Ruler of rulers and their ruler. It is true that God wants us to obey rulers and their laws. He wants us to obey constituted authorities but not obeying human only to disobey God. Romans 13:1-7, Acts 5:29, Galatians 1:10. Apostle Paul and other Apostles made it clear that we're to obey God above human. From our main scripture, we're counseled to obey the king (our rulers) but in obeying them, it must be done in regards to the Lord's oath (not breaking God's command). God's Shining Face Psalms 119:135  135  Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes. This is a prayer said by King David which should be a model for us. Today we will look at the first part of this prayer. When God face is upon a man, it means nothing outside God's will take place in his life. His or her life is a perfect example of a life in Eden. The protecting and providing hands of God is active in such life. God's shining face upon a human takes away sorrow and multiplies favour and unprecedented plus accelerated prosperity. The Dross 3 Psalms 119:119 Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross ... Dross are impurity which must be put out. They are not meant to remain in any substance if the substance must be valuable. God see the wicked as dross and dross as wickedness. Dross is detestable in the eyes of God just as sin though the substance (person) is valuable to Him. God wants us to call on Him and depend on Him to take out dross found in us in a lovely manner, Isaiah 1:25. Continuing in a dross state without acknowledging God results to destruction; God will act on such person like the wicked that fails to acknowledge his or her wickedness, Ezekiel 22:19. Beloved which do you prefer, God's love or His wrath? None can stand God's wrath. Therefore, layoff those weights of sin (dross)- Hebrews 12:1. The Dross 2 Isaiah 1:22, Proverbs 25:4 Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water: Dross as we saw yesterday is a state of one have impurity and it makes the state of such one imperfect. From our text, a silver that has been refined became a dross. This shows that a Christian can become a dross too. The process of becoming a dross is the process of doing unholy and ungodly things. They became dross because of their actions: drunkenness, rebellion, stealing, bribery and corruption and uncompassionate. Beloved, you as a believer and a Christian are you indicted by Isaiah 1:23? Examine yourself and be truthful! Don't make God see you as a dross. In your daily living, are you compassionate? Being compassionate (merciful) qualifies you for mercy and compassion both from God and Human. Beloved, jealously guide your sliver (spiritual state) so that you will not become a dross. I pray that Elohim will endue us with strength to be dross-less in our sojourn on Earth.

The Dross 1 Ezekiel 22:17-22, Isaiah 1:25 ...ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. Dross is impurity. A substance having dross irrespective of the quality is not first hand. Dross is also seen as immorality and the weakness of the flesh. When someone becomes a dross, it means the person is impure. God was angry with His children because of their fleshy nature, immorality and spiritual state. Because of His anger, He'll leave His children in His Furnace. He promised to hit them like a brass or sliver being refined. But why fire? The dross in a sliver is taken away only by fire. Proverbs 25:4. The fire separates the dross from the sliver to make the sliver finer. Though, the firing experience for the sliver isn't pleasurable. Will you want God to angrily gather you because of your dross? God's Gathering of Grace Jeremiah 31:8-11;32:37, Ezekiel 20:34,41 Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, ... For the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he. Still on gathering of God's people because of His grace, today I want to share more verse with you. As you can see from the verses about, God is interested in the restoration of His people (You). No matter what you might have done that resulted to your scattering because of God's anger on you, you'll be restored and gathered once you make a turn from displeasing God to pleasing Him. The Mercy Gathering Isaiah 54:6-8 6 For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken ... 7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. 8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer. You may have been suffering from one problem to another and you feel all hope is lost and you can't make it in life. Now there is a good news, with great mercies, God is returning to you. For a little time, God left you and those issues arose but now that God is returning to you be rest assured that you are becoming a new creature. God left because of something  - it may be SIN or not; but those things we do that God detests should not be continued. Just be happy because in this month you  obtain Jehovah's compassion and mercy. I pray for you that God's mercy should locate you for this redemptive gathering irrespective of your distance in Christ.

No Keeping Back! Isaiah 43:5-6 ... I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; Brethren, it is time for your gathering again. The devil and enemies before now might be rejoicing that they have scattered you, but in this month God is gathering you again. Don't be discouraged by the great lost and the distance of thy scattering since God is involved, you must be gathered. Whatever you might have lost to the powers in different locations as you sojourn on Earth must come back to you. The West, East, North and South can't hold you siege again. Listen, this gathering is as a result of HONOUR. What you do, can you obtain God's honour from it? This gathering can't happen in a sin. Brethren, do what will make God love you. Before God's honour on any human, the human must honour and love God by obeying God.
