God's Desire

God's Desire
Hosea 6:6

6  For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

Two things has been spelt out here as what God desires. In ever human, this two things are not to be found lacking. They are:
~ Mercy
~ Knowledge of God
If any human is not merciful then God equally will not be merciful to such a human, Matthew 5:7.
Without the knowledge of God, we can please and serve God, Hosea 4:6, 1 Corinthians 3:19.

As a human, do you put sacrifice above mercy and burnt offerings above knowing God? What makes sacrifices and burnt offerings speak is when we are merciful and know God.

King Saul failed because he put sacrifice above the knowledge of God, 1 Samuel 15:15-23. Having the knowledge of God is having a reverential fear of Him and obeying is commands. You can't disobey God and come to Him with sacrifices. Do you think you can bribe God?

Beloved, let's make these two desires of God our first & core factor on earth. Help us O Lord!

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul. Entering His Rest

Entering His Rest Hebrews 4:3 KJV For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. Total Increase and Perfect Rest 2016 was given by God. Looking at REST again, we found out there is no rest without believing in God the rest author and giver. Rest in this context is not death but a state of no physical struggles before benefits. Rest is a state of divine favour, no toiling all night and nothing to show. Believing in God is the prerequisite to entering His rest. His disciples entered into rest because 'At His word they cast their net', Luke 5:5; likewise the Zarephath woman in 1 Kings 17:15. Joshua and Caleb, and others that benefits from the gospel and entered into God's rest didn't enter by struggles but just by BELIEVING IN GOD THE GIVER OF REST, Joshua 21:44-45.
