Backsliding!
Act 10:38 - About Jesus of Nazareth, how God gave the Holy Spirit to him, with power: and how he went about doing good and making well all who were troubled by evil spirits, for God was with him.
1 Cor. 10:12, Isaiah 3:11-14.
Backsliding is a backward shift from the initial state. This can be in the physical or spiritual. Instead of a continuous growth one gradually fall out of faith and love.
Jesus when anointed didn't stop but he kept doing good and exploit. He didn't loss his love and zeal. As Jesus was so we ought to be. Always hot in the spiritual and in the physical servitude in the Lord's vineyard.
Backsliding can be seen in the following aspects:
> Turning away from God, 2 Timothy 2:8 1 king 1:9.
> Losing interest in the Lord, 2 Timothy 2:15.
> Leaving the first love, Rev. 2:4.
Lost of God's hunger, Eph. 3:17, Col. 2:7.
> Turning from the joy of salvation and the gospel, to ungodly law, Rev. 2:14-16.
May God's grace keep us continually active in Him.
Shalom!
