Whom Do You Please?
1 Thessalonians 2:4-6
[4] But as we were allowed of God ...; not as pleasing men, were but God, which trieth our hearts.
[5] For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness
[6] Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, ... , as the apostles of Christ.
It is so unfortunate that people these days, even those called by God don't primarily please God through their actions and inactions.
God called us not to please human but to please Him. Look at what Apostle Paul said, 'He never used flattering words, never sought for the glory of men ...', because he's an apostle of Christ.
Beloved brethren, you as a clergy (a Levite) or as a Laity, do you live your life to please God or human? It's God that redeemed, reconciled and called you, so live to please God.
God is to be pleased and not any human remember He tries the heart and knows all things.
Begin and continue to please God alone! Shalom!!
