Don't Serve Sin
Romans 6:6-7
[6] Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
[7] For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Sin is the act of doing what God hates. Sin is Simple Instruction (from God) Neglected. As a living being, it's either we are servants to sin or to righteousness. It's either we're of the world or of righteousness. Whose are you?
A sin committed doesn't make one a servant of sin. But a continuity in sin or being dead in sin makes one a servant of sin. A person who refuses to the sin he/she is committing after bring admonished and warned to stop it, is serving sin.
1 John 3:9, "Whosoever is born of God commit no sin ..." This is same as you being buried with Christ. So what are those things called sin? Anything done outside the instructions of God is a sin not just fornication etc. Saying what God didn't say is a sin which is even worse. 1 Cor. 6:9-10, Rev. 22:18-19. Shalom!
