Have You Learnt?
1 Corinthians 10:6-11

[6] Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
[7] Neither be ye idolaters ...
[8] Neither let us commit fornication ...
[9] Neither let us tempt Christ ...
[10] Neither murmur ye ...
[11] Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Personal experience is not the best teacher rather learning from other people's experience. God so much want His children not to repeat the errors their father's, hence the availability of our father's deeds and rewards. We are to learn from our father's actions and inactions, from their good and their bad.

Beloved, today we're admonished not to repeat anything evil that our father's did. Why shouldn't we copy their evil deeds? They never benefited positively is the reason. Hence stop that evil deed! God hasn't changed! He will punish evil as He did. Shalom!!

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul. Entering His Rest Hebrews 4:3 KJV For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. Total Increase and Perfect Rest 2016 was given by God. Looking at REST again, we found out there is no rest without believing in God the rest author and giver. Rest in this context is not death but a state of no physical struggles before benefits. Rest is a state of divine favour, no toiling all night and nothing to show. Believing in God is the prerequisite to entering His rest. His disciples entered into rest because 'At His word they cast their net', Luke 5:5; likewise the Zarephath woman in 1 Kings 17:15. Joshua and Caleb, and others that benefits from the gospel and entered into God's rest didn't enter by struggles but just by BELIEVING IN GOD THE GIVER OF REST, Joshua 21:44-45.
