The Race Of Life Hebrews 12:1-4 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 1 Corinthians 9:24 - Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. The verse above speaks of the physical race. But in the race of life, almost everybody is a winner in as far as he/she can abide by the rules of the game. "So run that you may obtain" means it is possible to run in vain. You have run in vain if you are successful but cannot reap all the benefits of your success. This shall not be our portion. Watch Your Actions 2 Kings 21:1-9 1 Corinthians 6:7-12 Quite a number of people extort in different ways under different guises. The trader who sells at over 200 percent profit, the employer who ignores paying overtime allowances to his workers, the workers who come late and sleep on duty, the pastor who arm-twist his members and force them to give,the landlord who increases his house rent arbitrary and so on and so forth. All these are in the Church and hope to make Heaven at last. Is it possible? Extortion is one of the sins that will get you disqualified for Heaven. This is why you must not take things for granted. Receiving Strength Isaiah 40:29 KJV [29] He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. God supplies the needs of His children always. But His supplies are for those that are weak and powerless, not in the physical but in the spiritual. Do you see yourself as weak and powerless (that's without God you are nothing)? God doesn't come to the strong and powerful (proud ones) but to the weak and powerless (humble ones). Jesus said in Luke  5:31, "They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick." Surviving Firestorm! Isaiah 33:14-16 MSG [14] The sinners in Zion are rightly terrified; the godless are at their wit's end: 'Who among us can survive this firestorm? Agree Willingly Philemon 1:14 ISV [14] Yet I did not want to do anything without your consent, so that your good deed might not be something forced, but voluntary. Doing good is good and most times benefiting to the doer. Why then is good deeds not always benefiting to the doer? Willingness in agreement comes in! One can agree to do a thing but is the agreement willingly or forcefully? Just as forceful obedience most times yield nothing so also is forceful agreement. Stay Awake! 1 Thessalonians 5:6 [6] Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. Sleep is good but there are times when it is not required to sleep. The Sweet Sleep Ecclesiastes 5:12 KJV [12] The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep. Greetings Royal Priesthoods! Sleep is enjoyable but not to all. Some rich ones instead of sleeping sweetly have sleepless sleep. Why? Is it because if their wealth? No!!!
