My Father's Business

My Father's Business
Luke 2:46 KJV

[49] And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

Who is your father? What's your father's business? Are you in your father's business? These questions are rhetorical and personal!

It starts from, who is your father- God or Devil. Then, your father's business will be either salvation or damnation of souls respectively. Finally, your actions and inactions shows if you are in your father's business.

Jesus at early age started His father's business till He left the Earth. He made some statements about this business; read John 4:34; 2:17, Psalm 69:9.

If Jesus' father is your Father then you've to been zealous and passionate about the salvation of souls just as Jesus was while on Earth and still is now that He's with our Father. Beloved, you don't need to be a pastor etc, before you save souls. You're a priesthood commissioned to the ministry or reconciliation, 1 Pe 2:9, 2 Cor 5:18. Shalom!

It is a secret grief which is personally experienced, not in mere form, but as a deep, soul-moving work of the Holy Spirit upon the inmost heart of each believer. It is not a matter to be merely talked of and believed in, but keenly and sensitively felt in every living child of the living God. It is powerfully humiliating, and completely sin-purging; but then it is sweetly preparative for those gracious consolations which proud un-humbled spirits are unable to receive; and it is distinctly discriminating, for it belongs to the elect of God, and to them alone.

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul.
