Instruction Kept, Preserves Life
Proverbs 5:1-14 – And you will be full of grief at the end of your life, when your flesh and your body are wasted; And you will say, How was teaching hated by me, and my heart put no value on training; I did not give attention to the voice of my teachers, my ear was not turned to those who were guiding me!
Blessed child of God, I will advise that you study and not just read the scripture for today. Instructions most times seem to be very difficult and impossible to keep but from the critical look at it, it is not difficult. Also, instructions seem to be benefiting the instructor not the instructed but in the real sense, it is for the benefit of the instructed.
There is always lamentation at the end of a journey when instructions are not kept. You can see from verses 11-13, that at the end of a disobedient life to instructions, the disobedient have nothing to celebrate for. Keeping instructions saves life and leads one into celebration.
This is our month of ceaseless celebration. One of the prerequisites to this ceaseless celebration manifesting is our attitude to instructions [God’s and human’s]. Endeavour by relying on God to aid you live a life that is obedient to instructions and keep them to the core. Shalom!
