Just Please God
Proverbs 16:7 – When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
The above scripture is a very popular scripture. Many Christians just recite it without maybe really knowing the magnitude of the scripture. Hence, from the scripture, we are to concentrate on making our ways to please God and forget about any other thing.
Today, many Christian have put the chart before the horse. Their ways can be said to please the Lord yet they keep calling on God to intercede on their behalf against the enemies of their life. This shouldn’t be as the Lord will not harken unto them.
When Achan sinned against the Lord, Israel’s way was not pleasing unto Jehovah and we know the rest of the story; little Ai won mighty Israel! Read Joshua 7.
Beloved, forget about the enemies of your life and concentrate on pleasing Jehovah. When you please Jehovah, you need no hard and lengthy prayer against the enemies of your life because the Lord God will be fighting for you. Read, 2 Kings 1:9-15, 2 Kings 6:18.
As you please the Lord, may you experience a peaceful life. Shalom!
