The Lord’s Complaint 2
Malachi 1:6-7 – A son honoureth [his] father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? … Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of Jehovah is contemptible.
Malachi 2:1-3
Don’t Dishonour God!
Honouring someone is built on the love you have for such a one. This is verse built on verse 2. If the people really loved the Lord, the will reciprocate His love by honouring Him. Honouring God is shown in many ways, such as the following paragraphs:
The honour we have for our parents and for the elderly in Christ. Do you respect and honour your parents? Exodus 20:12, Ephesians 6:1-3, Leviticus 19:32, Deuteronomy 19:32.
We honour God through our services to Him. If we serve God faithfully and honour Him, in return He will honour us – 1 Samuel 2:30.
More importantly, we honour God through sacrifices; the sacrifice of ourselves then the sacrifice of substance will follow [read more on sacrifice here] – 1 Corintians 6:13, 20.
Beloved, do you place human above God? What you do for human is it more than what you do for God? Genuinely answer the question and if you are indicted, please from today start honouring God more. Don’t communize the things of God, don’t communize God – Daniel 5. Shalom!
