Avoiding Jeering
Luke 14:28-30 – … Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, saying, `This man began to build, but could not finish.'
In life, there are people that are just waiting in a corner to jeer at you. They are not there to give you hope or to encourage you in whatever you are doing. How can we avoid such jeering?
Jesus in the above scripture gave us a formula on how to avoid such jeering. The key is preparation. Before we endeavour into anything, we should take the cost and know if we are prepared or not. Taking the cost, make us aware of the risk, and how to tackle them.
Taking the cost is to apply wisdom, to be prayerful, to be dedicated, to fast and to continually look onto God. Beloved, God doesn’t want you to be jeered but the truth is that an improper planner will not be assisted by God. When you fail, you will not blame God oh!
Take cost then you will have a successful and complete project. Shalom!
Prayer
O Lord the giver of wisdom, give me wisdom so that in anything I do I will not end up half way and I will not be jeered in Jesus Name, Amen.
