Be Good Doer and Lover

Be Good Doer and Lover

Amos 5:14-15 – Go after good and not evil, so that life may be yours: and so the Lord, the God of armies, will be with you, as you say. Be haters of evil and lovers of good, and let right be done in the public place: it may be that the Lord, the God of armies, will have mercy on the rest of Joseph

God is good, a doer of good and a lover of good, hence we His children have to be good, doer of good and lovers of good too. Being a doer and lover of God brings many benefits to us.

The first benefit of being a lover and doer of good is the presence of God. The presence of God is always with those that are doers of good. Remember the three Hebrews boys, they did good and God was with them, Daniel 3:17.

Secondly, being a lover and doer of good attracts God’s mercy. Remember King Hezekiah, the good he did made God to have mercy on him thereby extending his days, Isaiah 38:5.

Thirdly and the last for today, it is only good doers that have good and life [joyous and eternal life]. What you sow is what you get. So if you do good, you are sowing good and you will get good and life.

Beloved, make a resolution today to be a lover and doer of good both in the secrets and in the open. Ensure that justice prevail in issues that concerns you and by so doing, you will begin to see divine abundance as a result of God’s presence and His mercy. Shalom!

Prayer

The only good God, teach me to love and to do good all the days of my life. Help me that I will never choose evil in place of good. Thank you my heaven Father.

Don’t Look Back!

Don’t Look Back! Luke 9:62 – And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Have you answered the call to serve God as His son and daughter? Have you totally chosen Jehovah as your God? Have you decided to leave your old ways and cleave unto God? If yes! Beloved I congratulate you. But hope you took the cost of your choice?? [Please refer to yesterday’s sermon] God doesn’t want us to look back when we have answered the call, why? This is because of the following: Firstly, it brings shame to the body of Christ and makes people to despise Christ. Looking back is to be lukewarm and to depart from the first love! [Revelation 2:4, Revelation 3:16] Secondly, looking back makes the believer to suffer backwardness spiritually and physical. The faith of the believer suffers and takes a longer time to be rebuilt. [Hebrews 6:4]. Thirdly, looking back will make the person not to complete whatever he or she has started. This is w...

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul. Every covenant that do not bring light to your life, be destroyed now by fire! Whatever makes you to live by work and not by grace be destroyed! For God's name sake, let everyt...

Everlasting Not Temporal!

Everlasting Not Temporal! Jeremiah 31:3 – The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee Hello God’s Love! There is a love greater than the greatest love you have ever experience on earth, that love is the Love of God. Malachi 1:2. God love all but all don’t have the same love effect or love level. Long before we were born, God has already loved us. This His love is everlasting not temporal. This love is not subject to some conditions before it is demonstrated or shown. This love just flow from God our Father to us supernaturally. This everlasting love of God has made Him draw us from the troubles and problems of this world to His place of joy and everlasting peace. [Ephesians 1:3, Hebrews 1:1-5]. The fact remains that we did nothing to acquire God’s love but we do things to grow His love for us. In the same way, despite what we do His love for us remains but we ...
