Numbers 32:13

[13] And the Lord's anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the Lord , was consumed.

God is the owner of life. He controls all the creatures and no creature of God rebels against God without Nature and other creatures rebelling against the rebelled creature.

The Israelites wandered in the wilderness because of their constant rebellion against God via sinning. Anytime anyone sins against God, he/she wanders in the wilderness of life. There's no calamity without canality. Sin is the auto reversal to all humans. To avoid being reserved to a worse state of life, beloved you got to avoid sinning.

A journey of days took them years. God caused them with a curse of wandering and cyclic movement, Deut. 1:6. That task you're into that is God's will but not yielding headway maybe as a result of your sin. Examine yourself, 2 Cor. 13:5!

It is a secret grief which is personally experienced, not in mere form, but as a deep, soul-moving work of the Holy Spirit upon the inmost heart of each believer. It is not a matter to be merely talked of and believed in, but keenly and sensitively felt in every living child of the living God. It is powerfully humiliating, and completely sin-purging; but then it is sweetly preparative for those gracious consolations which proud un-humbled spirits are unable to receive; and it is distinctly discriminating, for it belongs to the elect of God, and to them alone.

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul.
