The Simple Rule
Hebrews 13:5 KJV
[1] Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Rules are for the good of the obedient. The above tells us how we as Christians should behave in order that we might bring glory to the body of God.
Be without covetousness and Be content with what you have are the two simple rules that results to a more glorious Christian life and living.
Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions and be satisfied with your present circumstances and with what you have; for God Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. I will not, I will not, I will not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let you down.
Beloved, make it you aim to be without covetousness and to be content. Always be thankful to God.
Shalom!
