The Hearings of You
Philemon 1:5

Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;

It is a common question, asked to everliving begin; 'What will you be remembered for?' The right question is 'What are people saying about you?'. Apostle Paul, celebrated the dedicated Christian believers for their character and good name. People testified of their goodness and godly characters. Beloved, what are people saying about you?

The bible tells us that good name is better than wealth, Proverbs 22:1, Ecclesiastes 7:1. Do you have a good name? Your fellow Christians, do they glorify God on your behalf? Let's make it our aim to have a good name, character and report whether be it in your church or not. As long as you live as a Christian, let the hearings of you (the report of people about you) be good so that more souls will be won into God's kingdom and more souls will be straightened.

I pray that we will have far good reports than Philemon. Shalom!!!

HEART-RENDING is divinely wrought and solemnly felt. It is a secret grief which is personally experienced, not in mere form, but as a deep, soul-moving work of the Holy Spirit upon the inmost heart of each believer. It is not a matter to be merely talked of and believed in, but keenly and sensitively felt in every living child of the living God. It is powerfully humiliating, and completely sin-purging; but then it is sweetly preparative for those gracious consolations which proud un-humbled spirits are unable to receive; and it is distinctly discriminating, for it belongs to the elect of God, and to them alone.

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul.
