PROVE YOUR FAITH
TEXT: JAMES 2:10-26.
🔑KEY VERSE
"Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works" (JAMES 2:18).

It is all too easy to seek to extol our personal virtues, flaunt our spiritual gifts and make ourselves look better than other people. Whereas, this may impress men, it accounts for little or nothing before God. What matters to Him is the result of whatever spiritual experiences we claim to possess.

Apostle James underscored this point when he stressed that believers must not strive for half measures. They either obey all the laws or they fail in all. Their words must match their actions. In the same vein, he said if they profess to possess faith, it can only show by their good works. It is no use telling someone in need, who came to you for help, that God will bless him. Without giving him an assistance, such fine words amounts to nothing.

Faith is reinforced by works as in the case with Abraham. He believed God to the point of almost sacrificing his only son, Isaac, as God commanded. That singular action was what marked him as a man of faith. Rahab the harlot, too, was commended for backing up her faith in the God of Israel with action.

We must never be contented with simply proclaiming how great a faith we have. Rather, we should allow the actions that are influenced by our faith to speak the loudest. We must make ourselves part of God's answer to other people's prayers by rendering assistance to them. If we love and obey God, we must never withhold anything He demands from us, no matter how precious. This is the only way to prove that we have faith.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
"Faith without works is dead."

Sheep’s Clothing!

Sheep’s Clothing! Matthew 7:14 – Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. It is no more a news that there are many false prophets in this world. They have been even since the Bible days. Elymas in Acts 13:8 was a false prophet that tried to pervert the heart of the people from God. That is the work of these false prophets. They are workers of the devil and nothing about their life is God’s; from the outside they look like God’s prophets and messengers but they are recruiting souls for the devil. They use magic, human wisdom, human strategies to do their work. Consider again, Balaam to an extent I will consider him as a false prophet because he tried to curse the blessed of God and to stop the will of God for His children. Though Balaam hears from God but he wasn’t doing things according to God’s plan and agenda. He planned to even make God’s children fall. Please read Revelation 2:14 and Jude 1:11. Those in sheep’s c

Ceaseless Celebration

Ceaseless Celebration Leviticus 26:6 – And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land Ezekiel 32:1-10; 34:25-31, Esther 9:1-22, Jeremiah 52:31-34 With Joy, I welcome you all into this month. In this month, we will record ceaseless celebration on every side. This is as a result of what God has done for us and what He is doing as well. He has given us peace and rest on every side. He has incapacitated the enemies of our lives. This is indeed wonderful. In this last month of 2017, the magnitude of God’s judgement on the enemies of your life will render them missing on Earth and you will be celebrated. If you haven’t celebrated this year, this month grace will make you celebrate and if you had celebrated, your celebration will not cease or to sorrow. God will put laughter on your face, royal garments on you and you will be recompensed for all the cel

Grace for Exceeding Multiplication

Grace for Exceeding Multiplication Genesis 17:1-2, 2 Corinthians 8:9 [2] And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. Grace is God's Riches At Christ Expense. It is the almightiness of God invading the hopelessness of human. It is a commander of attention. It reduces sweat and increases accomplishments, Psalm 89:20. Exceeding means to be very great and to surpass others. To set a new record. Multiplication is to increase greatly in number, not step by step as in addition. PREREQUISITE 1 - OBEDIENCE - Leviticus 25:18 You can't increase when you are unfaithful in your tithing obligation and others. 2 - REMEMBER THOSE THAT HAVE RULE OVER YOU - Hebrews 13:7. The blessing is given by GRACE and the blessing can be multiplied by GRACE, 2 Corinthians 8:1-4, Acts 4:32-35. PRAYERS May Divine grace for expansion be released upon us - Amen. ________________ A sermon by Apostle Samuel Idedevwo of Christ's Chosen Church of God
