The Day to Always Celebrate

MEDITATION

The day to always celebrate

1. The day Israel was delivered from Egypt and not the day Israel was born as a nation v1.
2. The purpose of the celebration was to remember the day of deliverance from Egypt v3b,12.
3. It must be characterized with worship (vv5,6), sober and reflective mind (bv3,8) as opposed to fleshly pleasurable or hilarious celebrations (vv7,8).
4. It should be a time of rejoicing in the presence of the Lord because salvation is a thing of joy v11. All other "anti-joy" challenges must be set aside through the spirit of faith, praise and appreciation of the greatest miracle of salvation any one can ever get.
5. For born again child of God, it is the day a person got delivered from sin, worldliness and power of Pharaoh (Satan). It is the day of salvation.

Q What are the benefits of recalling and reflecting on your day of salvation.
Note
a. Nowhere was Israel asked to celebrate the day she was born as a nation.
b. No where were Christians asked to celebrate the day Jesus was born except the day He died for our sins called the Lord's supper.
c. The Apostles and the saints never showed any remembrance for the day they were born.
d. What is important to God, and should be important to His saints, is the day of salvation.
e. We are to always recall it, reflect on it if we still have the experience, rehearse it to others, rejoice in it, radiate it and recommend it to sinners.
Q Why do you think the emphasis of the Bible is the day of salvation and not the day of natural birth?
"Be not  conformed to this world" Romans 12:2.
Q Is there any day in your life that you can remember that you gave your life to Christ and there was instantaneous transformation?
Q Do you cherish your day of salvation above your birth day or you prefer conforming to the world?
Oh Lord, I am tired of mere religion. I want today to be a day of salvation for me. Jesus, I surrender to you as Lord and Saviour. Come into my heart and make me a child of God๐Ÿ™
Lord, I promise that my day of salvation will always be remembered and rehearsed to sinners above any other day in my life๐Ÿ™
Lord, give me the grace to always radiate my salvation experience for others to see ๐Ÿ™
Lord, deliver your Church from worldliness and let our emphasis be the day of salvation once again๐Ÿ™

Don’t Look Back!

Don’t Look Back! Luke 9:62 – And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Have you answered the call to serve God as His son and daughter? Have you totally chosen Jehovah as your God? Have you decided to leave your old ways and cleave unto God? If yes! Beloved I congratulate you. But hope you took the cost of your choice?? [Please refer to yesterday’s sermon] God doesn’t want us to look back when we have answered the call, why? This is because of the following: Firstly, it brings shame to the body of Christ and makes people to despise Christ. Looking back is to be lukewarm and to depart from the first love! [Revelation 2:4, Revelation 3:16] Secondly, looking back makes the believer to suffer backwardness spiritually and physical. The faith of the believer suffers and takes a longer time to be rebuilt. [Hebrews 6:4]. Thirdly, looking back will make the person not to complete whatever he or she has started. This is w...

Heart Not Garment - 2

"Rend your heart, and not your garments." --Joel 2:13 Apart from vital godliness all religion is utterly vain; offered without a sincere heart, every form of worship is a solemn sham and an impudent mockery of the majesty of heaven. HEART-RENDING is divinely wrought and solemnly felt. It is a secret grief which is personally experienced, not in mere form, but as a deep, soul-moving work of the Holy Spirit upon the inmost heart of each believer. It is not a matter to be merely talked of and believed in, but keenly and sensitively felt in every living child of the living God. It is powerfully humiliating, and completely sin-purging; but then it is sweetly preparative for those gracious consolations which proud un-humbled spirits are unable to receive; and it is distinctly discriminating, for it belongs to the elect of God, and to them alone.

Faulty Covenant

Faulty Covenant Hebrews 8:7 [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Covenant as a strong bound that is not easily broken can be faulty. The covenant made betwixt God and the Israelites was a faulty covenant in this time of Grace but perfect in it's time. The covenant wasn't to lead sinner's unto Christ's but it was to lead them unto their destructive end quickly. The old covenant was a period of darkness and pains (because it was more by works and not by grace) but thanks to God who invalidated the old covenant and gave us the covenant of Grace where Jesus is the mediator no longer Moses. God spoken of the new covenant long ago in Jeremiah 31:31; it was manifested in Christ. This new covenant brings light to the soul. Every covenant that do not bring light to your life, be destroyed now by fire! Whatever makes you to live by work and not by grace be destroyed! For God's name sake, let everyt...
